Excellent innovation for my daily life

The folding screen technology is amazing; it allows me to split the display seamlessly between streaming my favorite content and working on school tasks at the same time. During my free time, gaming feels incredibly immersive thanks to the bright, expansive panel. The multi-tasking features have drastically improved my efficiency, impacting my daily routines in the best way possible. It is responsive, sleek, and highly versatile for both sports tracking and entertainment.

One thing that reallyyy bothers me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z fold 8. I've been really enjoying the phone. But there are a few things that are breaking the experience for me.
Pros: This is a beast of a phone. It's snappy, good graphics. Media consumption is good. There are some bugs that still need to be worked out, like zoom and Instagram. I wanted something similar to the size of the z flip without having a useless front screen. This really delivers on that. The wider, shorter size has been sooo nice. I don't understand how this hasn't been the norm all along.
Cons: I am so massively bothered by the placement of the camera. It needs to be horizontal across the back, top, center of the phone. There is no reason for it to cascade down the back, right side. It makes the phone rock when I put it down. And it makes the magnet on the back (for a pop grip or wireless charging) off-center. I need to be able to put the phone down flat on its back. The magnet being off-center, to me, is such a massive design flaw.

The most "nailed it" device ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years and years of owning Samsung devices, I chose the Fold 8 specifically because of the form factor. I always missed this passport form factor and I knew that once you open this device it would be no compromises. I use my phone extensively for work and now find myself increasingly not even carrying a laptop with me.
With the new Fold 8 this has become the reality. This is the one device to rule them all! I don't need a laptop to do meetings, I don't need a laptop to type long documents. I don't need a laptop to review documents. Just fold open this device and you have the perfect tablet for everything you need to do.
I am shocked at how thin this device is folded up. It's even more impossibly thin once you unfold the device. Battery life is stellar and no one does screens as exceptionally as Samsung.
This might very well become my favorite phone of all time.

Z Fold 8, a very welcomed change in design!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never experienced the pleasure of using any other brand of foldable, but this change in design fits my needs perfectly. I chose to upgrade.from the Z Fold 7, simply because of this form factor. This is both my work phone and daily driver. It has gotten me through an entire work day of HEAVY usage just fine. A 7AM-6PM leaves me with about 40% battery. This is HUGE improvement over my Z Fold 7.
Do I wish the screen was taller? Maybe a little bit. Magsafe wallet hangs off the back about an inch. So much so, that I am not comfortable and no longer use it.
I love the way this design fits in my hands, both folded and unfolded. Rotating the phone gives a different implementation of the software. For example, Google Messages is often glitchy. The messages get bunched together and a brief rotation sets things right again. I'm hopeful that developers fix a lot of these type of quirks
Overall, it's a homerun for Samsung and to those of you reading this, if you are considering a switch, I would say that you won't be disappointed. I really like it.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is incredible

My favorite phone ever.

I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 for a couple of reasons, but mainly due to its form factor and it ended up being perfect for me. It's small and big at the same time. I use it at work a lot more than expected. It's light, easy to hold, FITS IN MY POCKET, and at the same time it can become pretty much like a tablet, which is amazing. It's everything I need. Apparently it wasn't supposed to have the flex mode but it works- I use it many times in flex mode if I want to follow a recipe or watch something on small screen. If Samsung decides to somehow fit a pen into it, I would be even happier. That's the only thing I slightly miss from my previous phone. I keep telling my husband what a perfect phone this. It's everything I ever wanted in a phone. Thank you Samsung! Also I really appreciated the trade in value.
