[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this device because of the new form factor. The hinge is fantastic and almost no visible crease. The phone is light smooth and easy to use. Great for media consumption and " doom scrolling". Great productivity device. Great multi tasking options.

Best form factor in a fold phone ever!

I've been a long fan of the Galaxy z fold line, Samsung is very thoughtful with the details of their microphones, their battery and charging, and the quality of their screens. It is my go-to device not only as a regular phone but also for work and for entertainment purposes. I essentially have no need to travel with the tablet because of this device. I chose the wider format of the z-fold 8 this time instead of the ultra because of the revised dimensions. It's a phone that fits in my pocket more elegantly, with beautifully thin lines and minimal weight in my hand. It is particularly useful as an e-reader as well as for viewing images. When unfolded, it is an excellent way of consuming media, both gaming and video. The Smart switch software service is exceptionally simple in its implementation, maintaining my file structure and porting all my critical documents in my same organizational structure. I couldn't be happier.

I've had all the other galaxy fold models along the way at comma and while i've liked them comma their aspect ratio never really made a ton of sense. The z fold eight is the first device that actually makes sense comma it's small.And compact, easy to carry, and it still has just as big a screen.When you open it up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to give the Fold 8 a chance after trying the Flip 6 and Fold 7. They both had their pluses and negatives but the negatives outweighed the positives for my use case.
The Fold 8 is different. Even just playing with it for the little time I've have after unboxing it and setting up seems like this was the form factor I've been waiting for. The only thing I might miss or not completely enthusiastic about is the cameras. I don't mind dual cameras and losing the telephoto but it would have been nice if they were flagship class but am I willing to compromise it for the weight and better form factor? Yup.
Right now, as long as the battery can hold up to my needs, I truly believe this will be the least compromised daily device to date for my needs. Kudos to Samsung for bringing the Fold 8 to the US market.
