[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Z Fold 3 then Z Fold 6 user I chose the Z Fold 8 because I was very excited to have the wider cover screen. The Z Fold 8 is everything I was hoping for in a new phone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So nice to get a form factor that makes tech interesting again , and the bigger take away is a tech company actually listened to their customers and gave them what they want. This might be the phone I use for years.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a phone that would finally comfortably fit my lifestyle, and I chose the Z Fold 8 because in day to day tasks, I feel like I have a compact phone that fits in the palm of my hand. Then, when I want an expansive screen to get work done or watch content, I simply unfold it. Then, when unfolded, you can choose your aspect ratio to either have a taller phone experience or a wide screen experience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold since the Z Fold 3. When I heard the news that a wider version was coming, I was so excited because I thought it might fit the way I have been using a larger display while still being convenient to carry. Now that I’ve been using it for several days, I can say that it truly satisfies the reason I chose the Fold in the first place to enjoy in a modernized shape.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is the best form factor of any Samsung I have owned yet. I'm so glad I chose the Galexy Z Fold 8. I have had the flip 3 and flip 4 ,the S 22 ultra, the 23 ultra the 24 and 25 ultra. I think this fold 8 is my favorite of all. ❤️ love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a z fold phone since the z fold 2, only skipping one generation in the series until now. I chose to go with the Z Fold 8 instead of ultra as I felt like this was a new experience (I traded in my z fold 7).
While the viewing area on videos on the inside screen isn't that much larger than the z fold 7 and z fold 8 ultra, the screen layout and smaller black bars tricks your brain into thinking the viewing area is bigger. The crease is also dramatically better and you really have to look for it to see it. While I have samsung care plus for my folds, I have to say the last couple generations have been solid and very durable.
Price is of course an issue but I feel like samsung offers very good trade in values which helps it a bit of an easier pill to swallow. I feel like this new 8 is something new and great and really enjoy both the inner and outer screens.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for numerous compelling reasons. A standout feature is its compact, passport-style form factor, which is notably wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. This design significantly enhances grip and provides a more natural feel, contrasting with the longer, narrower profile of the Fold 8 Ultra. The Z Fold 8 is an exceptionally well-designed device, and I find it to be perfect in every aspect. I particularly appreciate the extended battery life, reduced screen crease, and the seamless folding and unfolding mechanism. The customization options for these phones are also highly impressive, complemented by an excellent range of color choices.
The wider keyboard on the front cover greatly improves typing efficiency. Furthermore, the video viewing experience on this device is exceptional, especially with the front screen, eliminating the need to open or unfold the device. The screen ratio represents a significant advancement. Additionally, the Fold 8 offers a more comfortable fit in pockets and generally feels more refined. The side-mounted fingerprint reader operates flawlessly, adding a convenient touch. The multitasking capabilities are outstanding, allowing for three full-screen applications to be open simultaneously on the inner display. Media consumption on the Z Fold 8 is truly remarkable and a superior experience.
I must also note that the Ultra model does not fully embody the characteristics expected of an "ultra" device. The perceived lack of s
