Great Form Factor

Pleasantly surprised with the new fold 8

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. I wasn’t sure I’d like it at first — especially coming from bigger phones like the S22 Ultra and S24 Ultra— but this device completely changed my mind.
I actually owned a Fold3 years ago and loved the concept, but I ended up trading it in after dealing with cracked screens and the hassle of replacements. Because of that, I thought I was done with foldables. But the Fold8 feels like a totally different experience.
The first thing that stood out to me is the size. Even though it’s shorter than the Ultra, the wider cover screen makes it feel more natural and comfortable to use. I expected the smaller height to bother me, but the wideness really makes up for it — typing, scrolling, and everyday use feel better than I expected.
And once you open it up? The inside display is so much better than what I had on the Fold3. It feels more spacious, more refined, and more useful for multitasking. Samsung clearly learned a lot over the years, and the improvements are noticeable.
Ultimately, I’m glad I chose to upgrade. The Fold8 feels like the foldable I always wanted — durable, comfortable, and genuinely fun to use. I didn’t think I’d go back to a foldable, but this one won me over!

The available apps and AI features i can use with this phone is awesome.
I traded my Galaxy S26 Ultra with this phone, after 2 weeks of using this i might not upgrade to the next galaxy fold coming out next year.
I really LOVED THIS PHONE!

Very nice form factor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Z Fold 8 because of the new form. I am a fan of the Ultra series for everyday use, and I use the Fold series for work.
I watched the Samsung event, and I was immediately curious about apps, movies, and reading on the new aspect ratio. I was very pleased! The apps I use open and fit the new aspect ratio; the input experience with apps have been drastically improved. I can actually watch quick work videos without opening the phone, and the content will fill the screen. Opening the phone to watch movies has improved tremendously. When I am reading .pdf files for work or books, I really enjoy the content fills the space on the Z Fold 8 when it is open.
I am actively trying to find a reason to use my Ultra again. I love the Ultra phones, but the Note 8 makes it easier to work and play on the same phone.

Excellent all around phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z fold 8 (wide) because I wanted a foldable that is not as tall as others and opens up to an inner screen that isn't square, but more rectangular for viewing of media. This phone fits that objective perfectly. The inner screen is the best looking of all the foldables I've used. It's anti reflective and calibrated perfectly as far as colors, sharpness, and clarity. The hardware quality is top notch and definitely gives off a premium vibe. The feature set is huge and useful. This phone feels polished and refined.

I chose the best phone out there.... Period!

First, it had great reviews even prior to launch. After receiving it (even earlier than expected), I was amazed by how small and light it was! The form factor is amazing.
Second, I've had my previous phone for several years now. I went from the S21 Ultra to the S24 Ultra (the latter being the peak slab phone). So considering the Z Fold 8 might seem like a downgrade. Yes and no. Yes, the cameras aren't as good as my previous phones. No, because the Z Fold 8 is an engineering marvel. I'm on week 3 with this phone and I have no regrets.
I love how much more comfortable it feels being shorter. It fits into my shirt pocket no problem.
The Z Fold 8 is only about 2 mm wider than my S24 Ultra. So it isn't much wider and bothersome at all.
But I love browsing on the cover screen than switch over to the large screen for videos. I've started to reading again especially graphic novels and The Odyssey. It's made those little joys fun again (not to mention convenient). No more separate tablet.
I like taking pictures and do miss the telephoto lens but picture taking is still fun on the Z Fold 8. I like how I have a macro feature that I didn't have on my 24. Even with optical zooming on that phone, images still came out grainy. Better higher resolution is needed for 10x optical.
The Z Fold 8 is amazing and fun again. The slabs were boring and heavy. No real upgrades. But this one, so far so good👍🏾.
