[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous phone was the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which I loved, but I chose to try the new passport-like form factor with with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and so far I am loving it. It is a bit smaller in total screen size but the new form instantly clicked for my normal phone use, which is primarily video watching and some light mobile gaming. Also with the 7 I found myself immediately rotating the device sideways to get the widest screen possible, whereas with the 8 you are already at the widest possible immediately upon unfolding. I appreciate the lighter weight and I'm also finding the cover screen much more usable than the 7 and a better fit in both my front and back pocket. Recommended.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Z Fold 8 is a wonderful phone that takes the best of the fold design and results in a smaller phone akin to the flip series. It is powerful, light and easy to use. the only downside is the lack of a 200mp zoom camera. hopefully the next version will have a better camera setup. However the pictures this one takes are just fine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I saw the new Z Fold 8 during the launch event, I knew I was going to love it. The excitement I used to feel for new phones back when innovations popped up with every release suddenly made a resurgence. I know the Fold 8 isn't the first passport-style foldable, but it FEELS like the first because Samsung has made so much progress on perfecting foldable technology. What once would have been a phone for enthusiasts living on the bleeding edge is now a polished device in a new, ergonomic format. I've owned the Z Fold 3 and 5, and then switched to the Flip 6 because the Fold was just too much phone. I chose to flip on the Z Flip series because the new Fold 8 is.. not a compromise.. a culmination of what makes both Z lines great. Portability, form, function, versatility, aesthetic.. this phone has it all. I'm happy that Samsung has decided to give consumers choices this year, but I won't be going back. I'm not saying this phone is perfect. The camera array is obviously a step down from other flagships and there are certain difficulties that are bound to stem from a whole new form factor when it comes to MagSafe accessories, but it fits my lifestyle perfectly. The cover screen reminds me of a certain other productivity-centered, berry-flavored phone from the past, but so much more refined. The inner display feels like an ultra-thin mini tablet. If Samsung upgrades the camera array and makes it horizontal, I'll upgrade next year as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted this form factor for years and I love the outer screen, You can do so much with the phone closed, On all my fold devices before this I used the inner screen and rarely used the outer display
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had 3 fold phones and enjoy the phone very much. The fold 8 is definitely an improvement. I would definitely recommend. Like the new design . I bit pricey but worth the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this decive for something different. I wasn't sure how/if I'd like it but once I got it I fell in love. I love the small screen on the front and the bigger screen when unfolded. I love reading my Kindle on it most of all. This phone is great!
