A step in the right direction, but not there yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fan of the original Pixel Fold, I was looking forward to a return to this passport-style form factor. But this is just TOO small. Every time I'd reach for it to do something simple on the cover screen I'd often hit a navigation gesture unintentionally or otherwise need to open the screen just to do something basic like read a webpage or type an email.
That plus the ridiculous compromises made on the cameras and flex mode (which I use all the time on my other foldables), as well as the poor positioning of the speakers, led me to send the phone back after a few days of daily use. Plus I'd bet good money that cooling and the crease will become a widespread problem as time goes by.
Bottom line: this is a good version 1.0, but I'm hoping future revisions will be better.

Beautiful compact phone with powerful features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this let go of my Ultra 23 because I have been wanting a fold forever. The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z-fold eight over the ultra due to the form factor and don't regret it. Despite coming from a larger phone the new form factor is definitely easier to manage especially with me now being able to reach the top of my screen.

Perfect Form Factor

New Form Factor - Surprisingly Easy to Adjust

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Traded in a Z Fold 7 and I chose to get the Fold 8 mainly to try a new form factor. Initially I didn't like it too much, but after going through phone setup and generally using it for a few hours, I got used to it fairly quickly. When I go to pick up any slab or even my Fold 7, it now feels very awkward 😄. Must be some brain chemistry or psychological shenanigans, kudos to the Samsung engineering team!

The phone is light and compact

It's a great phone but really needs a zoom lens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the form factor. But I want a zoom lens! The digital zoom is not good enough. I thought it would be. I was wrong. Changing to 24mp camera option helps with high res photos. But not the same as a dedicated zoom lens.

Great compact phone with beautiful screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Galaxy Fold8 because I do a lot of photography and wanted to see my photos on a wider screen when I am not at my laptop. This phone fits perfectly.
I love the compactness and how it is lightweight. I also do not notice any crease when I have the fold open.
