[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from the z fold 4 to this 8, and let me tell you it was an amazing upgrade. Everything from the camera to the screen are amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few galaxy z folds already so i am very firmiliar with them . My previous phone was the z fold 7 and I love the upgrades that came with it especially the larger outter display. Ultimately, I chose to upgrade and it is definitely not like i bought the same phone twice. First the battery has been a major upgrade, it last way longer i can't believe how much longer and charging is faster as well, i was at 11 percent when I woke up this morning but i had to go to the paint store so i put it on the charger and got dressed and ready and i picked up my phone i was at 89 percent! Its been like 6 hours and I am at 48 percent still ! And I have been listening to different videos while i paint my house. The screen has a hardly noticeable crease in it. Definitely an upgrade. All the new AI features are awesome. And I know that possibly that might come to other phones, but the fact that I already have it, it's great, and not to mention that this phone is way more snappy, then in my previous fold. So ultimately, I feel like the combination just has been a really great experience. To be honest, this is the best Fold I have had by far! I didn't plan an upgrading, but i'm really glad that I did!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had everyone of these phones and so far this one has been great. The multi tasking is great. My only complaint on these phones was the battery life. This phon seems to be much better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After skipping upgrading to the 7, I chose to upgrade to the 8 Ultra and all i can say is wow. THIS IS WHAT A FOLD IS SUPPOSED TO BE! This is my 4th Fold and I couldn't be happier. It is exactly like a Galaxy Ultra, but Fold open to a beautiful interior screen where the seam in the middle is finally hardly noticeable. Keep these coming Samsung!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has been an amazing upgrade. Samsung really nailed the balance between having a normal everyday phone and a full tablet experience in one device. The larger display is beautiful, incredibly smooth, and makes multitasking, watching videos, reading, and getting work done so much better.
Despite everything it can do, the phone feels surprisingly refined and comfortable to use. Performance has been excellent, apps open instantly, and switching between multiple apps feels effortless. The cameras are fantastic as well and finally make the Fold feel like a true flagship without having to compromise just because you want a foldable.
If you enjoy having the latest technology and actually taking advantage of a larger screen, the Z Fold 8 Ultra is absolutely worth it. It's easily my favorite Samsung phone I've owned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the z-fold eight believing it would be a substantial functional upgrade to my Galaxy s23 ultra phone. Although the default 8 is an elegant and beautiful design, the screen when closed was significantly smaller than the s23 ultra. When opened the text was substantially smaller than the s23 and the unfolded screen was only marginally larger than the s23 ultra. Combined with the fact that the z-fold eight does not work with a stylus, and my s23 ultra has a stylus built in, the gain of function for the z-fold 8 was quite minimal and not worth the trouble and expense of transferring all the data and apps for my existing phone and moving on to the new phone. The transfer process, given the fact that these are both Galaxy devices, was quite insufficient to satisfy my needs for a smooth transition from one phone to the next. It did not transfer all of my apps, icons, or data. Also, disappointingly, is it not transfer the playlists that I had made for the music that was stored in memory on my s23 ultra. I am a loyal Samsung Galaxy customer and user, and I greatly look forward to a tri-fold phone coming from Galaxy that will give a tablet size screen and work with a stylus, sometime in the future. The z-fold eight is a substantial effort on Samsung's part and I commend the company for innovating with such a thin and light form factor for this new entry into the marketplace. Hopefully, a robust trifold phone will be available in the next year or two and I await this.

Response from Samsung USBy R&R, August 18, 2026
Hello RobertCBoston,
Thank you for sharing your reasons for choosing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. We appreciate your loyalty as a Galaxy customer. The Z Fold8 Ultra's thin and lightweight foldable design, expansive inner display, and robust multitasking capabilities reflect Samsung's ongoing commitment to innovation in foldable technology.
We also value your feedback regarding the design, as well as your concerns about the screen experience, the absence of stylus support, and the data transfer process. We understand that these aspects did not meet your expectations for an upgrade from your Galaxy S23 Ultra. Your insights are invaluable and help Samsung better understand what customers hope to see in future foldable devices. Thank you for your input!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 4.5 stars Upgrade from the z-fold 6 -- Loving the bigger front screen. It makes the phone practical. Very sad that there isn't an S-Pen or support. I understand it's probably related to the technology limits. Cameras are good but not Samsung S series level given the cost.
Would recommend to anyone needing a fold or wanting something different that is functional for work and home.
