Great phone with bad updates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from a fold 5, this new phone is my 3rd fold. Several updates from previous generations fall short. Removing the ability to hide the camera hole from the display when the phone is open honestly made me consider returning the device. It was such a poor choice in change from previous models. The recent updates to the UI, changing it to act as a tablet, have degraded the user experience further. The device is honestly a little too thin in my opinion as well. The buttons are placed better than folds from some other companies though, and the lack of visible crease is a nice improvement over previous generations. Overall a very mid phone for the price.

Have always been a ultra with S-Pen fan until

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to try the fold eight ultra because it looked pretty awesome.
It was pretty difficult to give up my regular ultra my s pen everything else I fought hard with should I get this phone or not.
But I will say after having it and I've had it now for a couple of weeks I love it.
It's light and it's thin enough that I can hold it and do regular tasks during my day.
Unfolding it to watch videos or YouTube to stream something or play games is absolutely a blast!!

I'm also really impressed with the almost unnoticeable crease in the screen on the fold!!
My ex had the full three and I thought it was really neat but it almost feels like it was giving me and the crease was wild.

But after using it for everyday use business use and just playing around with it I have been telling everyone this is the phone you should get it is phenomenal!!!!

I love my fold 8 ultra!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I traded in my Galaxy S25 Ultra for the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 ultra. This is my first foldable phone and so far I love it! I love the tablet size screen for streaming movies and shows! I also use my Fold 8 ultra for work as well. It works great with productivity apps I use for work and they work great on full screen as well! I'm still learning how to completely utilize my new fold 8 ultra, but so far so good! I would definitely recommend this phone to friends and family! Heck, even strangers! Samsung made another awesome foldable phone!

The picture quality and overall performance have been excellent, and I am still discovering new features. It is easy to use, fast, and fits very well into my daily routine. I use my phone for work and personal, and the inner screen has always helped with getting some extra real-estate when I need it for remote management or spreadsheets. Im so glad I chose the ultra model, the camera and outer screen size are perfect!

I preordered the device and it arrive sooner than expected. I highly recommend any non samsung user to purchase any type of samsung technology. I am certain you will fall in love with it as much as I did. I love my new device. I been with samsung for over 15 years now and I see myself being with them for another 15 years.
