[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the discreet travel ability for daily carry in pocket. It does not compromise the screen realistate when flipped open. So I get the best of both worlds. I really enjoy the front screen for quick peak at emails, messages and apps. This zflip8 really makes mobility with connection a must have. I feel free from from what seemed liked carrying a brick from the previous phones. They would stick out of your pocket with a bulky inconvenient carry. Very pleased with with this purchase so happy now.

The outer display is fast, fun, and genuinely useful — you can fire off messages, check maps, control music, and run real apps without ever opening the phone.
It makes the Flip feel quicker, smarter, and way more convenient. This is the first model where the cover screen isn’t just a novelty — it’s a powerhouse.

We finally got pink!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with a 6 year old phone (Note 20), I've been wanting the Z Flip series phone for YEARS. I really wanted yellow Flip 6, which is my favorite color, but missed the chance. Waited for the next best thing and now we have it! I'm really glad they are appealing to the girlies with fun colors this time (unlike the 7). The pink is so so cute. I really wish they kept the colored border motif on the camera.
Now getting into the specs. Wow, this phone is LIGHT. I don't feel the crease AT ALL. This phone is basically the same size as my note 20 when unfolded, which is really nice. The magnetic strength to fold the phone is very strong, like I'm having a hard time opening it at times because I have weak wrists. The phone is extremely responsive, and fast. And customizability is endless (yes you can have a different background/theme for your lock screen AND cover screen).
The camera is such an amazing quality and incredibly stable. It's been so fun to take pictures folded and unfolded. It makes for a really nice selfie cam and camcorder too. I haven't explored all the features yet like the steady lock but just general use is awesome.
The one downside is that the Gemini AI is everywhere. Almost unavoidable/intrusive. I believe there are a lot of useful features to help with productivity, but it should honestly let you opt out of all aspects of AI in one go. Also, I hate the generative AI feature. This such a weird feature that is NOT helpful and to encourage genAI usage is odd

I love all the features, and when open, it is pretty much the same size as my old S24 Ultra. I'm still learning and unlocking new features. Looking forward to everything it brings!
