Great Sound, premiu design and Versatile connectivity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Cove P1 is a really impressive speaker overall. I like the combination of premium home audio and portability-you can keep it in the living room or bedroom and easily move it to the patio or backyard when needed. The design is clean and modern, the build quality feels solid, and the charging dock is very convenient. The IP56 rating is also a nice bonus for outdoor use.
Sound quality is the highlight. It delivers powerful, clear audio with good strong bass and a surprisingly wide soundstage for its size. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and other streaming options make it very versatile.I had only one complaint is the whole-home audio experience. You can group multiple Wi-Fi speakers, but controlling the group isn't always seamless. When speakers are grouped, using the volume buttons on your phone can change the volume of only one speaker instead of the entire group. You often have to open the JBL One app to adjust the group volume, which can be frustrating. This can be fixed with the software bug-fix i guess in future. Overall, it's a great-quality speaker with excellent sound, design, and connectivity. If JBL improves the whole-home controls, especially group volume, this could be an excellent multi-room speaker.

Not sure what I am more impressed with…the sound, or the technology in the app!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We all know JBL has some impressive and intense sound. You pair that epic sound with the amazing technology that this speaker uses paired with the new JBL One app…UNBELIEVABLE!
Fantastic sound that could be enjoyed through out the house and heard as I moved to different rooms. I am excited to get more speakers to add to the system to allow even more flexibility and enhanced listening experience.
The app is impressive. Integrating other speakers, listening modes, relaxing calm scenes, and your favorite streaming music services. It is nice to have all your music and controls in one central place.
Hardware wise I was impressed lightweight, and a cool
Handle to carry built into the rear of the speaker. The charging docking station was a plus for easy charging. Only thing I had to get used to is the power button that is more of soft touch button vs. what I’m used to with a typical speaker. However, the auto shut off after 10 minutes is pretty sweet.

Versatile, JBL quality and easy to use, the JBL Cove 1 is all the speaker you need at home or on the go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Cove 1 is a great little versatile entertainment system! Connect it to your WI-FI and listen to your Spotify or use Alexa Voice Assistant, or Connect to your phone and listen to anything your phone can play. I love the built-in atmosphere sounds, I use the ocean to drift off to sleep. It has a charging base to leave in tge house, or you can take it with you on the go using the built-in handle and additional charging port right on the speaker. As always JBL outperforms everyone else with the sound quality and dependability. Easy to operate, especially with the JBL ONE app, you can customize this unit to your preferences. I love it!

The speaker by itself has a really good sound, especially when it comes to the vocals and high-end frequencies of the music. The vocals are clean and the cymbals and high hats are very clean sounding. It excels with acoustic tracks due to this vocal clarity. The speaker also has a very wide soundstage compared to other speakers I have used, making it very easy to place anywhere and have good sound. However, it lacks deep rumble for bass-heavy EDM and low-end bass compared to speakers like the Authentics 200 or Boombox 3.

I’ll use Bluetooth when I have to, but using Wi-Fi to ensure notifications never interfere with my listening experience is the way to go. I added this to my Google Home speaker group with about six other JBL speakers, and the integration was completely seamless. This gives me the added benefit of grabbing it off the charging base and taking it outside, keeping music synced and identical everywhere guests go during BBQs and gatherings. The P1 also has the ability to be added to a MK2 soundbar, which sounds like a neat feature but I unfortunately don’t have so I couldn't test that. Portability/Battery
The battery life has been as expected at 14 hours. I love having the charging base for the speaker so I don’t have to worry about plugging it in, although the connection doesn't always line up perfectly and can feel slightly unstable when dropped on quickly. Still, it allows me to grab the speaker and go with ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really impressed with the new JBL Cove P1. It has a clean, premium look, that sounds fantastic, and has a lot of technology packed into a speaker that’s still easy to move around the home.
The first thing that stood out to me was just how big this speaker is for its size. The base is deep and punchy without being overwhelming, vocals come through really clear, and there’s a surprisingly large amount of separation in the music. The Dolby Atmos definitely helps give it a wider, more immersive sound instead of everything feeling like it’s coming from one small speaker. Whether I’m listening quietly in the background or turning it up, it stays clear and balanced all the time.
This is probably one of my favorite things about the Cove P1. You get both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so it’s incredibly easy to use depending on what you’re doing. AirPlay 2, Spotify, Connect, and the JBL One app give you a ton of options for streaming and connecting multiple speakers throughout your home. I also love that JBL built-in automatic room calibration, so the speaker can adjust it sound based on where you have it placed.
The built-in battery is another huge win! You can leave it on the charging dock as a permanent home speaker, and then simply grab it and take it to another room, the garage, or outside without interrupting what you’re listening to.
JBL did a great job with the Overall design. It feels solid and premium without looking overly flashy. The wraparound grill and simple controls. Give it a really clean look that fits naturally into a living room, office, bedroom, or entertainment set up. It definitely feels like a piece of home audio equipment rather than just another portable Bluetooth speaker.
The buttons on top of the JBL Cove P1 Wi-Fi speaker are very simple to use, but can sometimes be a bit frustrating. For the most part they work seamlessly, but there are times where you have to hit the touch to activate buttons a few times to get them to work. 
Overall, I’m really impressed with the JBL Cove P1 Wi-Fi speaker. It gives you the sound and features of a premium home speaker while still giving you the flexibility to pick it up and take it wherever you want. Great sound, great Bill quality and some really useful technology.
If you’re already a fan of JBL products and want something that can become part of a whole home audio set up, the Cove P1 is definitely worth checking out.

Amazing all in one audio device

I have carried it around the house and the integrated handle is well made and does not impose on the silhouette of the speaker. Build quality is excellent. This feels like it will last 10+ years. The charging dock is a nice touch. I have it set up in my office and carry it to the kitchen or laundry room while doing chores all the time. The dedicated Spotify button is a nice touch.
Sound quality is unmatched for a portable. Podcasts, EDM, rock and roll has all sounded great. The atmos even works better for movies than the soundbar i currently have.
Airplay and bluetooth both worked flawlessly. Set up was a breeze. The JBL One app is a nice pairing and the EQ is recommended for extreme ends lf the audio spectrum. The default worked well for pop music.

Portable, elegant rock party in a box!

First the size is bigger than expected, but after turning it on, I see why the sound packed in here is unbelievable! This thing is a beast! JBL sets the bar so high with their quality and sound, they are untouchable in the speaker arena! What’s even better is the portability, to be able to carry this out without cords makes it a party in a box! The battery lasts hours and hours. The app allows you to customize the sound but JBL has its own custom setting that rocks the block!

I connected the speaker to my tv, Bluetooth, and it works great. This speaker can be your TV speaker and you can easily take it with you (vs a bar...)
The quality of sound is very high, I tried it with music and with a movie (UHD).
Volume can get very high, you can connect the speaker to other JBL speakers that support the feature: party together.
The charger is flat and very stylish, the speaker can just stand on it at the same location.
The speaker felt more heavy than other speakers in that size but easy to carry with a special hand grip in the back.
