Helpful info if you’re trying to eat better!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not sure what any of this means just yet but it’s interesting to see how different types of food and exercise affect my blood sugar. The app is easy to use, and it has detailed instructions for how to apply the sensor. The first one I had never connected to the app and it was easy to request a free replacement. I was worried about the sensor hurting but it just has a very short and very fine needle. It’s a little uncomfortable but not painful. The sensor is small and unobtrusive.

Great with room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was fairly easy to snap into my arm, and mostly painless, however I could feel it for the first few days and bumping it did hurt. I thought I'd placed it directly on the back of my arm but soon realized it was a little too close to the inside and I had to be careful, so place it very carefully.
Entering meals and events is a bit of a learning curve. When entering, the time will auto populate, but not to the current time. It will populate to wherever the marker is on the graph. I think this is so you can more easily record past events, but it's something to note.
You can connect the app with Health Connect, so my blood glucose was transmitted to my macro tracker, but it would be helpful if the info I enter in my macro tracker could populate in the Lingo app. That would allow me to better track foods or events that cause spikes or dips.
If there is a spike, the lingo app will prompt you to enter an event at the time it assumes the event happened. However most of these suggestions came directly after an event I had already entered. Sometimes with just a one minute difference.
Readings over 200 or under 55 are not recorded. If you go outside of that range, the graph will fade out until you've reached readable levels again.
You can download a report to bring to your doctor however I don't think it included enough information. It shows what seems to be random readings, along with the date and time, but doesn't include meals or events to go along with them. For instance, I spent a good amount of time under the 55 range, but this was not reflected in the report.
All said, I'm glad I did this. It's a great tool to see where your levels are and how diet and exercise can affect it. The tips to improve your readings are helpful (although more importance is given to spikes rather than dips), and real lifestyle improvements can be made using this app.

Effortless Glucose Tracking

A great way to check in with your body!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested the Lingo biosensor for a period of 2 weeks. I have a genetic condition that predisposes me to issues with my pancreas where diabetes can be an early warning sign, so it was nice to get a sense of my glucose patterns over a longer period vs simply testing my A1C in my yearly bloodwork.
Thankfully everything was well within a healthy range, but I loved how easy it was to wear the Lingo sensor for the two weeks, it adhered well to my arm, was nearly painless to apply and once it was on I more or less forgot about it!
While I did receive this biosensor to test in exchange for my review, I do plan to periodically purchase a Lingo to keep an eye on my blood sugar and be able to collect critical data at an early stage that can help me keep my health in check in the long run.

Simple and innovative way to monitor your health!

The Lingo continuous glucose monitor is an innovative and easy-to-use product to help you keep track of your health. Before applying, make sure you cleanse the area with rubbing alcohol to ensure a good application. It’s important to know when applying the sensor, it is spring loaded so there is no pain or discomfort from the insertion of the needle. There was a slight discomfort when first attached, but after two days, I didn’t even notice that anymore. Then all you need to do is download the Lingo app and connect your device to it wirelessly. The main function utilized was the glucose monitoring, but there are so many other functions in the app that will help track different aspects of your health.
After the 14 day period the device was still attached firmly to my arm, even after working outside and showering every day. I would definitely recommend this device to those that are wanting to keep tabs on their health in a simple and innovative way.
