My X-bot go Falcon

I received my X-bot go Falcon just over two weeks ago. Using it is very straightforward and very easy to set up. I did however manage to not press record for my kids game today and didn’t get any footage. I need to improve on my editing and haven’t seen how you can do it within the app. Overall I am very pleased with it so far.

So far it has been great. Definitely needs to update. The auto zoom doesn't zoom properly. But im sure it will get there.

Needs Improvement

I really need a remote to mark highlights during the game and to correct the camera direction. Using the phone to do this leaves to much room for error in the middle of a game. I also need to be able to edit videos and other "app" functions from my MAC. If you can make this happen, it will be amazing.

Quality was very good even though I couldn’t get 4k as an option. Tracking was very slow and sluggish, I had auto tracking on. Auto zoom only ever zooms onto the near field, so far side of the soccer field seems miles away. I’m looking forward to what the updates bring with this being a brand new product. Overall I’m pleased with it.

Great Product with so much potential but needs lots of quality of life improvements

Hi XbotGo,
I am essentially happy with the Falcon and had been introducing it to my friends about this product.I had recorded alot of games with the camera and I am praising the quality as well as the technology it took to build this product.
However, with that being said, after using it for a couple of weeks, I cannot give it a full 5 stars due to some issues that I had seen, that would probably be corrected with another firmware update.
Here are the list of issues and observations that I noticed during my use.
For Context, I had been using it to record soccer games for small to medium size fields.

1) No Tilt (up and down) Camera tracking functionality. I was surprised that the camera does an awesome job tracking left and right, but there had been places where space is an issue, and I have to place the camera about 2 feet away from the side line (indoor facility). With that being said, I can't capture the whole field and with some blind spots that doesn't cover the whole field, with Markers, it doesn't track whats directly below the camera even though the camera has a tilt angle function (manual).
2) No Manual Zoom function. The Auto zoom is amazing but i am surprised there is no manual Zoom function. Having a manual Zoom function would alleviate the problem of placing the camera nearer to the side line. The fact that it had autozoom setting but doesn't have manual zoom setting is a little weird.
3) No player tracking. I understand that it was for basketball, but it would be awesome to have it for all sports.
4) I didn't realize that the Main and Auxiliary Camera buttons on the Falcon are not ready to be used. I don't see any documentation on what are the future plans for it. IT would be nice to see the road map or plans for it.

5) App is nice to use, but it can be a little confusing without a lot of instructions. IT would be nice to have a more detail instructions on the app to use the different functionality.

6) Can't set the duration of the Markers individually. I noticed that the Edit Mark functionality duration is for ALL the markers and not for individual markers. It would be awesome to have this functionality.
7) Can't set the default duration setting. Right now it is set to 2 seconds before and 4 seconds after. For each game, I have to go into each film and set it manually which doesn't even save into the film's meta data. If i need to redo it , i have to manually set it every time. It would be good to allow a default marker duration setting that applies to all game and makes the auto edit easier.
8) No Clear way of adding additional filters, animation and other features when editting the films. I am not sure whether there is a setting or a community for it, but it would be good to find more options.
9) No clear instructions of how to set up the highlights like the auto edit. I tried to manually edit the highlights myself, but it became really frustrating as there were no instructions on how to make a highlight reel just like auto edit. Please make an instruction video or manual.
10) Uploading video to cloud automatically. There is no way to stop this, and would like an option to prevent this as there is an option to create the highights after i stop recording based on the marks that i had inputted during the game. If i said yes, it will try to upload to the cloud which I don't want it to do automatically. Is there a setting for this ?
11) Refering to issue 10, this option should be there when I already stopped recording and wanted to review the video later. Should have the option to recreate the highlights again after editing the marks.
12) I don't know if the chameleon tutorials on the App apply to the Falcon, but I do noticed some differences that I can't seem to replicate on the Falcon. Please have more specific instructions for the Falcon on the app.
13) It is pretty difficult to edit the videos on the Falcon App but it is convenient. However, it would be awesome if XBOTgo would have a version similar to the XBOTGo editing app on the Laptop for easier editting. I noticed that you could connect the Xbot GO to the laptop but nothing is being read. It would be an awesome feature to have the XBOTgo create a Windows App that could only be used when an XbotGo is connected to the laptop, so that way the XbotGo Windows App can only edit videos found on the Product itself.
I can't think of anything else to mention here.
Over all the product is good to use, but i also know that it is still in the development phase and that there are more potential features. I am looking forward to the next firmware update that could address all the issues that i had pointed out, and I will be using the support for more information. Overall, a clearer application manual to help with editing and using the app would be greatly appreciated.
