XBot Go Falcon

The camera is very good. Not faultless but very good. It does go off piste occasionally and will focus on the subs kicking a ball instead of the main pitch, but in the main, the picture quality is faultless and its tracking is very good. I am no IT expert but I cant work out hw to edit at all and there are no clear instructions, so I am upploading the entire game which is huge file sizes. It would be great to have a demo on how to edit.
Overall, the positives more than outweigh the negatives and the price point with no ongoing subscription sets this apart from the competition.

XbotGo Falcon Is Good, But Will Be Great With Future Development

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my XbotGo Falcon. I couldn't wait to start using it for my son's soccer games.
The camera was very easy to set up and get working right out of the box. I was able to download the app on my phone and get the camera to recognize the app.
I have used it twice so far. The quality of the video is AMAZING! Def 4K video quality. BUT, the software the camera uses needs development. The camera's AI follows the ball when set up correctly. But over time the camera will get confuse as to where the ball is and point away from the area of action. It also gets confused with whether it should focus in or out. And that's okay.
I have been working in RandD for the last 25 years, so I understand the need for developing a product. And I do understand that I received a camera still in development. I am looking forward to future updates to the software to make this a better AI camera. So far, it has its minor issues. But I am still VERY happy with this camera.

Works as advertised

I purchased the Falcon with the understanding that some features will be rolled out later as they test the tech. I can happily report it works just as advertised. The team was very forthcoming with the expectations of future rollouts and I am looking forward to seeing what features work best for our basketball club. I am highly impressed with the quality of video and tracking even when I had to set the device up in suboptimal locations (corner of court).

Early days

We are just getting acquainted with our Falcon. We are to use it for Wheelchair Rugby League so it's a new sport for it to get used to. We have high hopes that we can make best use of its features over the forthcoming season. A lot of other Rugby league Wheelchair Teams are watching. This was a considered purchase but offered more than the expensive alternative. If we can get it to work for us, then lots of other teams will follow suit.

The falcon is an amazing idea, and I love the way it tracks. However,I was disappointed in how far the footage seemed to be. The zoom wasn’t really happening and the follow me option isn’t available on the app, even though the owner’s manual states it’s available in beta under basketball mode. It’s also states this in recent Falcon ads. In reality,It’s not an active feature yet. I read comments from others that follow me is not active in their falcon either. My intent was to use follow me most the time. I would really like to see it available for the Falcons soon and in the American football mode to track a players‘s number.. The lack of a tutorial on the editing software and cloud was disappointing. The video captured is further than what I wanted and would be great if I’m just wanting to film the entire game to review plays. But I’m not a coach. I’m a parent wanting to watch my player. I tried several options, but in the end was unable to get a up close video. If the software could take that footage and zoom in to players for great up close video in editing that could make a big difference. An improvement would be to provide a tutorial on editing and cloud usage. I’m looking forward to the next software update. Hopefully it will correct these issues to improve the falcon.

1st time use for volleyball tournament

I use the xbotgo falcon for a volleyball sport, I’m glad that it has that option to the pre set spot list. This is my first time using xbotgo product and I’m glad a product like this came out. I like the video quality and the wide angle view, however the auto focus doesn’t work and I wish I can manually focus the camera. I also like the remote function using the cellphone but I ended up manually tracking the ball or disable the auto track function since it cannot track the ball and often times the falcon gets confused when the ball if passing fast. The audio also sounds muffled I hope it gets better since it is a new product and maybe firmware is still in early stage. The idea of the product was good and it is just the right camera that I was looking for when i saw the advertisement, although it needs a lot of improvement. I will keep the the camera and give it a chance to improve so maybe in the next volleyball tournament will get better. 3 stars for now. Thank you!

Bluetooth and pan issues

Camera will not connect bluetooth even though that is what the instructions say. And it will not manually pan horizontal.

Awesome camera for practice and film days

Camera is great, a little slow at tracking and following the ball but still gets all the highlight plays. Still waiting for the martial arts and "follow.me" options for this camera as my kids are wrestling and its iffy if the camera stays on them while using another sports mode. I got this on the Kickstart pre order so definitely a deal at the price but might not be at the current price especially considering I got a tripod and the remote for no extra costs at the time.
