Bought it with intention of loving it but it falls short...my comments are in comparison with the Trace...One, Falcon's recording is too far away, it doesn't perform close-ups of the plays so it shows the players and plays too far away specially on the half of the field further away from the camera. Two, Falcon does not track the ball/play accurately missing important plays and even goals. Three, It disconnects during recordings. It Falcon would fix these issues I would definitely keep, for now, it's going back.
It does relieve my phone so I can have it and like that you can control it but it can be a pain when you’re trying to do record and no memory card, I feel also that whatever wifi is connected to my phone should be automatically connected to the machine (unless I’m doing some different) but I haven’t figured out where the AI to keep track of players are. It’s confusing but hoping to figure it out maybe an update is required?
So far im 50/50 on the falcon. Its easy ro set up, I love the live stream feature, and I have to figure out how to do the editing still. The one thing that I absolutely do not like is that you can not manually zoom in. You are reliant on the AI operating system to do it automatically.
Works well tracks decently. I think there should be a few improvements: 1, Having to use your phone for 'markers' is inconvenient and takes eyes off the game. Bring back the remote with a button that has real tactile feedback 2. Half court zoom needs some improvement and some user defined parameters. I find the zoom to be very minimal very often. 3. The line marking part of setup is absolutely wonky, I haven't figured out how to use it and I don't recall any clear instructions for it. (bball mode)
I have Chameleon and Falcon, but Falcon Lacks of Auto zoom, Tracking is better than Chameleon, the sound recording isn't As good as Chameleon, overall It's better than Chameleon but, don't think Worthing the money which I've paid.
I use the camera for field hockey games. Its good to a point but at a high level it needs improvement with tracking, focus, zoom. At the next level, it has to deliver on the features that were in ads promoting the Falcon. This includes auto AI Editor, AI Analysism etc. I would also like the ability to download the video - WITH THE MARKERS - to my desktop video editor for further analysis and to create video clips using a bigger monitor rather than small IPHONE screen.. In summary, the product has huge upside and I hope that the developers will continue to provide software updates to make the Falcon a special product.
