This is a magnificent machine... it is without a doubt one of the best laptops I've ever used... well built, and very sturdy, with a terrific outer coating... if it wasn't for Windows 11 being the most unintuitive, bloated and convoluted operating system, in the history of computing, it would be the perfect machine.
I purchased the ASUS Zenbook Duo (Intel Core Ultra 9, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) primarily for software development, SQL Server administration, technical writing, research, and content creation. After several weeks of daily use, it has exceeded my expectations and has become my primary work machine whenever I'm away from my desk. The dual 14-inch 3K OLED displays are far more useful than I expected. Having documentation, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, Outlook, or browser windows open simultaneously without constantly switching between applications has noticeably improved my productivity. Once you adapt to the dual-screen workflow, it's difficult to imagine going back to a traditional laptop. Performance has been excellent. Even with multiple development tools, browser tabs, virtual meetings, and productivity applications running concurrently, the system remains responsive. The 32GB of memory provides ample headroom for demanding professional workloads. The OLED displays are gorgeous. Text is crisp, colors are vibrant, and the additional vertical workspace makes reading and writing much more comfortable during long work sessions. Battery life has also been better than I expected considering the hardware and dual displays, especially when using a single screen while traveling. The detachable Bluetooth keyboard is surprisingly comfortable, and the flexibility to use the laptop in traditional, dual-screen, desktop, or presentation mode makes it adaptable to almost any work environment. No product is perfect. The Zenbook Duo is understandably heavier than a conventional 14-inch ultrabook, and you'll get the most from it if you're willing to invest a little time learning how to organize your workflow across two displays. That learning curve is well worth it. Overall, this is one of the most thoughtfully designed productivity laptops I've owned. If your work involves programming, data analysis, writing, research, engineering, or any workflow that benefits from additional screen space, the Zenbook Duo delivers an experience unlike any conventional laptop. I can recommend it without hesitation.
The Asus Zenbook overall is a great notebook like most Asus products. The biggest area where Asus engineers made this notebook a 3.5 out of 5 was picking a weak CPU like the Intel 386H instead of an AMD Ryzen AI 390/392/395.
I have used the previous 2025 ZenBook Duo (Intel 200 series CPU) and it was already a very good laptop for educational use and professional use. This new 2026 version is somehow even better due to its massive battery life improvement, simplified hinge design, and massive reduction in the size of the bezels, especially between the top and bottom screen. I would rate it six stars if I could, but I guess five will have to do.
Love the face recognition. Very useful screen setting options. Sound is superb. Quality of parts seems great. Laptop design is amazing! I just hope product last as long as expected... time will tell.
