An unhappy customer.

To begin, I was quite happy when I was able to get this GE dishwasher. I was actually thinking about replacing my current dishwasher as it was old (but still working). Contact was quick, install was very nice the guys that installed it were very nice. They cleaned up and took away my old but working dishwasher (did I mention working).

The GE dishwasher is beautiful, it is stainless steel and matches my oven.
The good:
Worked flawlessly, very easy to use, dishes were very clean, drying cycle worked very well. It is quiet and has multiple options/programs.

The bad:
It was installed on August 14th and was no longer working on the 18th. It will not cycle, turns on by itself and continues to run once it turns on.

More good:
The service provider was extremely helpful and I was able to get service on September 9th. The main board has to be replaced and the pump as well (probably from continuous running with no water). Parts have to be ordered and then service rescheduled. So this is a process.

More bad:
I am hand washing a lot of dishes now at least for another two weeks so they can get the parts and reschedule.

Service company reported they could not get the parts needed to repair the dishwasher.

I spoke to GE Appliances support. They were able to find two of the three parts needed and will send NDA to me. They have 72 hours to look for the third part and get back to me.

It has been over a month since install and I am still washing dishes by hand. As you can guess this has not been a good experience and my wife is very unhappy witb the entire situation.
I will update when repair is complete.

Easy to use controls, deep racks, excellent cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GE never fails when it comes to quality and efficiency. This dishwasher looks sharp, and really works great. I love that the racks are nice and deep making it easy to put all dish sizes in with no problem. This even has jets in part of the top rack to help clean deeper into things such as cups, or pots. The silverware basket is AWESOME, it has tons of slots and you can even open each compartment to make room for bigger things. This dishwasher is nice and roomy, so you can fit more without over crowding. My favorite part is the drying! I use to have to wipe down a lot of dishes with my old dishwasher but this one has the boost function that is OUTSTANDING and I havent had to worry about sitting water. The controls are easy to use and straight forward. This looks good, cleans very well, and is overall great quality.

It sounds like the roomy racks and flexible silverware basket are giving you plenty of space to load everything without having to play Tetris with your dishes. The bottle jets are a nice bonus for getting into cups and other hard-to-reach spots, and we’re especially happy to hear the Dry Boost feature has saved you from having to hand-dry dishes afterward. Add in the simple controls and quiet 48 dBA performance, and it sounds like you’ve found a great fit.

Great dishwasher for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with this GE dishwasher so far! It does a great job cleaning dishes without needing to pre-rinse everything, and I love how clean and dry everything comes out. The dry boost feature is especially helpful with plastic containers, which are usually still wet in other dishwashers.
It has plenty of room for a full family load, the upper adjustable rack makes it easy to fit larger items. It is a little bit louder than our last dishwasher but nothing to fuss about.
The stainless steel looks great and durable and the overall design looks sleek and easy to use. I am giving this five stars based on cleaning power, drying performance and value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy with this GE washing machine!! I filled it with a hefty load of dishes and they came out squeaky clean! They also didn’t have any streaks or residue left on them which was great! I didn’t have to scrub hard on the dishes or anything. It also washed them pretty quickly and was not loud at all! I also love the sleek stainless steel design it looks super modern and chic! Overall great washing machine and i’m very pleased!!
