After 3 months use, cycling, walking and day-to-day, I am delighted with my SHOKZ purchase. Sound is good enough for music, radio and audiobook. Not as good as in-ear buds but perfectly satisfactory when factors such as exceptional charge life (9 hrs), so comfortable & light I forget I am wearing them, sturdy - excellent build quality, gotten quite wet during cycle - no issues, tidy effective controls, excellent connectivity. While ear buds have their benefits, (I own many different types) they are easy to misplace/lose & can be uncomfortable in extended use. The SHOKZ are just so simple, convenient and well designed that they've become my go-to out & about audio companion. Of course, if it's listening to studio master quality audio, I reach for high-end cans. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend SHOKZ. JC

So far I love my headphones by Shokz. The headphones have a long battery life & they automatically connect to your phone when you turn them on unless you unpair from your phone. An added benefit of having open ear headphones is that they can serve as a hands free option for telephone calls while driving.

Fantastic - The best thing ever for cyclists

Like many people, I enjoy listening to things while exercising. In my case it is usually a podcast but also music. For years, I've been wearing conventional headphones while riding for this purpose. Always a challenge to find a setup that could be heard but not blocking the outside world TOO much. The Shokz simply solve that problem. I can hear just fine while hearing 95% of everything around me (there is still mental distraction and the fact that one is listening to something). It is so transparent that one can even hold a conversation without pausing. This does bring up a downside: Since they are so open, you HEAR the noises around. So that insanely loud truck, or the endless roar of high speed traffic will assault your ears. No worse than no headphones obviously but it can seem so because you're trying to listen to something.
As to sound quality, they have been a great surprise. IMO, not audiophile territory (although my audiophile son was impressed). But more than adequate for purpose and sounds good. Fantastic for spoken word content (like podcasts)
