My new shokz open runs are sleek and look really good. They are replacing the aftershokz brand. I used them daily for 4 years and had to buy these new Shokz when the old ones finally stopped working. There is an initial delay on the audio that cuts off the first 2 seconds. So, if I'm using them for a Spanish lesson, I miss important words sometimes. Phone call quality is decent and the convenience of putting them around my neck or on a key hook means I'll always know where they are at. I think the audio quality of my old aftershokz brand was a little better though.
Functionally, I like the nee charging cord. However, it’s a bummer to add a new tool when the world is settling on USB-C. Rather than a new cable, how about just sending a multi-plug dongle to connect the new magnetic charge point?
My work requires my ears not be blocked by headphones or earbuds. The open ear option is the only one that has been approved by my EH&S department. The Shokz Openrun have been the best audio investment I have made in years. I use these 5-7 days a week 6-10 hours a day. These allow me to listen to what I want without disturbing others and complying with my works safety policies. I have not yet reached the battery limit. I am not an audiophile, so my sound standards may not be as discerning as others. However, these have more than meet my safety and sound needs. These are not the cheapest out there, but remember there is a reason they say "you get what you pay for". I would by these again without question.
Not what I expected as far as being connected to communication radio at work... not as loud as I had hoped, as background noise (working outside & inside around guests and attractions) interfere, and even with maxing out the volume from radio, cannot raise the volume more on headphones.
