Too smart of a watch

Effective but complicated. I wish they made a less expensive, running-only watch. Would simplify things tremendously. Would like a more straightforward way to start recording a run plus heart/pulse rate.

I bought this Forerunner 170 a month ago, because I really like my Forerunner 245 and I could tell eventually, I would need to buy a new watch. I love all the features, colors, symbols, notifications, etc. Perfect for biking, hiking, walking, and paddle boarding.

First it didn’t track my sleep quite right but then I changed my normal bedtime to the correct time and it seems to have figured it out. I’m a little nervous the band will give me egzima with the 245 it did if I wore it all the time but I got a seatbelt fabric band and that fixed it. I think the majority of that problem was just wearing the band too tight. The reading texts on my watch seems to be better than the previous version but the sleep tracking still seems reluctant to go to apple health you kind of have to have the garmin app on the sleep tracking page for a bit before it imports idk if that’s Apple or garmin probably Apple.

Once I got started it gets easier to navigate .. I am so glad I chose the FORERUNNER 170 .. it has so much that you can do with it but right now I am going slow my mind can only grasp so much
