Nice upgraded features, I'm mostly satisfied

I replaced an older Iris 5-in-1 with this new Optimus 6-in-1. Things I like; the style, lifetime warranty, the addition of lighting monitor and mine included a solar battery pack. The interface is also a great upgrade. Things I'm not as happy with; the app shows the current conditions and the next 4 days forecast but not the forecast for today. I cannot see any information from indoors in the app. I am anxiously awaiting the time when this will interface with something web based beyond the acurite now app. I haven't been using it long enough to know how accurate it is but there are calibration offsets available in the display unit. (Nice upgrade!)

This is my third AcuRite weather station. The other 2 used the older 5 in 1 sensor. The build quality of this new sensor is better and the housing is much heavier. The setup was very easy and the display walked you through most of it. Setup and configuration of the Acurite now app was also easy. I do wish there was a weather underground option and more data analytics. The app seems to be heavily focused on home automation which I don’t have a need for. The display quality is great overall and it is easy to read. Signal reception is a little sensitive to placement of the display but that is normal for a low power signal like this and I was expecting it. The UPS base is a good option and I am glad they added it. We tend to lose power with storms and it is good to be able to keep the station online. The solar power option works really well. I am curious how often the panel will need to be cleaned, hopefully the rain will take care of it. There should be records and trends for barometric pressure, I am not sure why it is not tracked. Overall I am really happy with the system.

Great Weather Station, Measurements Lack Detail

I received the OPTIMUS weather station with Direct to Wifi Display and Solar Charger, as a gift. I love the weather station. It appears durable and was easy to install and connect to the ACU-RITE NOW app.
However, I'm disappointed the AcuRite NOW app does not capture and display more detailed measurements. For example, I was tracking our high winds recently, but the app only recorded a high wind speed of 15.6 mph for the entire day, but on the Direct-to-Wifi Display I saw a 26 mph wind speed, so this measurement was not recorded since it was probably between the '15 minute interval' when the app receives the weather station updates.
Also, in the AcuRite NOW app, the Wind Speed chart for 24 Hours does not display a Time stamp. If I select 48 Hours, a Time stamp appears and when I switch back to 24 Hours the Time stamp is still present.
Recently, I read someone else's comment that an AcuRite NOW app update is needed so the app can receive updates in "30 second intervals" instead of the "15 minute interval," which appears to be the current setting in the app. Adding the "30 second interval" to the app will allow the app to display the detailed measurements. When is this update coming to the app?
Previously, I had the IRIS weather station and I loved being able to view detailed measurements in the graphs, in My AcuRite Dashboard.
Also, I would love the ability to add my OPTIMUS to the My AcuRite Dashboard. Can this also be added?

The AcuRite Optimus is a good weather station, with nice features. I wish it included a few extra features such as moon phase, sunrise/sunset times, and a little more customization of the information being displayed. Other than that, it is working great so far!

The display is hard to read over 2ft away. They put way too much data on the display so most of it is way too small to read. I have the display on the wall by my recliner and I have to use the magnifier on my iPad to see the readings. I had the Acu-Rite Iris Pro 5-n-1 before buying the Optimus and the display data was easy to read. They need to have a larger display available
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
