AcuRite Optimus, # one choice in weather stations

The new AcuRite Optimus is much
More accurate than the AcuRite Atlas’s in previously owned over the last 6 years. The new design also is more aerodynamic and stays steady in high winds unlike the Atlas model. I would definitely recommend the new AcuRite Optimus as the best weather stations out there today. Excellent product and works great with the new Solar panel. No more changing batteries. My pole stands over 16 ft and was a pain pulling down the atlas to change the batteries. A must have accessory.

So far so good. The installation and setup were simple, but the app is taking sometime to understand (not an app issue). Of course the weather has been great since I installed the station. The forecasting seems off though.

Easy to get going quickly. The windspeed cups are a little hard to install without worrying about using too much pressure. A set screw might be better.

Purchased about 1-1/2 months ago and wanted to use it prior to providing any feedback...
So far not really impressed 😕.
After every rain events the main display screen clears all data for day, month, and year?
Lightning Strikes states weather station is too close the electrical interference. I moved the station to the roof of a building without any electricity and still get the same message.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got for Christmas NOT compatible with My AcuRite, AcuRite Access, or Weather Underground that makes it a major downgrade from older products. I'll give it away and keep my old station

Display has been clearing the rain gauge on its own and is now showing rain accumulation each day for the last 2 days and we have not received any rain at all.
Also the wind meter has not been recording the speed correctly.
