⚠️ No Weather Underground Support – But Solid Othe

I’ve gotta say: it looks great, sets up even better, and has that slick design you'd expect from something new in 2025. The Optimus is lightweight but sturdy, and getting it online was painless—within minutes it was feeding data to the My AcuRite dashboard with zero issues.
BUT HERE’S THE CATCH:
There is no native Weather Underground support. None. Zilch. And if you’re like me—a weather hobbyist or someone who likes to share your backyard data with the world—you’re going to be let down. The MAC address on this model doesn’t even match what the My AcuRite site expects for WU integration (they want 24:C8:6E, but this one is D8:C8:0C). Even the Android app doesn't support it properly yet. That’s a serious limitation that isn’t very clearly disclosed.

For casual users? This thing is awesome. It’s sleek, modern, accurate enough, and the graphs in the AcuRite platform are clean and easy to use.
For data sharers and tinkerers? You're locked into AcuRite's closed ecosystem, which is frustrating.
TL;DR
✅ Beautiful design
✅ Fast and easy setup
❌ No support for Weather Underground or other public weather services
❌ Locked to My AcuRite only (for now)
Final Thought: If you’re just looking to monitor your backyard and you don’t care about sharing your data with the broader weather community, go for it. But if you’re part of the WU/PWS crowd… you’ll wanna wait or look elsewhere—unless AcuRite steps it up with firmware updates.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
