Monitor doesnt show the same on phone. Goes off of nearest station and numbers are way off from each other. The monitor loses power when plugged into wall. Turned the sleep mode off and it still turns off.

AcuRite NOW is updated every 5 minutes, while the display is receiving updates from the outdoor sensor every 18 seconds. You may see slight discrepancies depending on when the app last received an update. We apologize that your display unit is not staying on, but we are happy to assist! Please reach out to our support team via live chat or email request for assistance.
I upgraded from the Iris with HD display. The outdoor 5 in 1 sensor is a step up. Unfortunately the display is missing one thing that I liked in the old unit. The forecast doesn't show chance of rain percentage. I really liked that. It seemed to be pretty accurate. The thing I like most about this unit is the ability to automatically turning off the screen at night. The old unit would light up the room even with the dimmer setting. It took me a bit to get used to the new display but I'm good with it now. Ugh, change. I'm only a few months into it but so far it seems pretty decent.
Works fine so far. Although it has a lightning detector, the results are sent to the unit inside the house. The old system where you could put the lightning detector outside the house by the pool to alert of impending lightning was a great option for me but evidently no longer available. Other issue is that the high temperature produced by the unit on any day with sunshine is quite a bit higher than the actual temperature. I have the device mounted on top of my screened in pool cage so it is about 15 feet off the ground and the temperature on sunny days is very high, 20 plus degrees higher than the temperature reported in the shade (or on tv/radio etc.).
Really like the design and features, but the fact that it can't connect to Weather Underground is a fatal flaw for me. Had to return it at my expense. Very disappointed.

Thank you for reviewing the Optimus Weather Station; we appreciate your feedback. Streaming to Weather Underground is expected in an upcoming update to the AcuRite NOW app. Please stay tuned!
Nice unit. My bad for assuming I could have historical data like my old 5-in-1. Optimus is a newer unit with nice features, Wi-Fi capability, would have 5 stars if it had historical capabilities also resulting in a wider audience. Again surprised the feature was removed being a flagship product.
"SO FAR"--it's worked perfectly.... Haven't had a Heavy Shower/Rain yet to Test.... Everything else seems to be OK... Had to Brighten the Display to be able to Read it... "Cons"----It don't connect to Wunderground... Myself and Friends all use Wunderground for our area reports...
