Overall great headphone. Sounds amazing, ANC better than expected, Battery is superb, Comfort only just fine, value is mediocre if you are buying now just after launch (at 570 CAD).
The sound is particularly amazing. I have previously used a Bose QC15 for ages and consider myself unable to hear the difference between good and bad headphones. But after using these, I can definitely tell that this is league beyond my old headphone. I cannot give more quantifiable descriptions but I would say these are comfortably "good" for most people.
ANC is better than expected. I has always been told that Sennheiser cannot compete with the leaders like Sony or Bose, but the ANC on this headphone is still very much sufficient. This is probably the biggest upgrade compared to the last gen Momentum 4. I find it blocking out things like computer fan noise or engine noise very well, and it is able to very greatly reduce the sound of a lawn mower to the point of it being not annoying. Transparency mode is also very usable. Though, one thing to note, I find that I sometimes need to slightly adjust the position of the headphone to get the best seal, or otherwise there is a small gap for light noise to leak in slightly.
Battery is superb. It easily lasts a whole week, and the charging is fast.
Comfort leaves more to be desired. The default ear pads are quite shallow, and after wearing around 6 to 7 hours a day, I starts to develop a mild ache on my right ear (goes away as soon as I take off the headphone, and only on the right ear). I got some more stiff cushion from Wicked Cushion and it is able to completely remove this issue, though, the ANC is ever so slightly lessened. Heat does starts to build up after a few minutes, especially if it is already hot, but I never find it reaching a level that is unbearable. Overall, I would say these are all-day worthy headphones for me after the modifications.
In term of value, I think this is no where close to Momentum 4 at 250 CAD, but with some future sales, I can see it being worth it, especially when it resolves the biggest detriment of Momentum 4 in term of the ANC.
