2nd Frigidaire 6,000BTU Window Mounted Air Conditioner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 2nd Frigidaire 6,000 BTU Window Mounted Air Conditioner to replace a Kenmore 6,000 BTU unit. We are using the same model 6,000 BTU unit in a different part of the house and a 10,000BTU similar unit for the living room/dining room /kitcken. It seems quiet enough for a bedroom. It appears to provide enough cooling It was easy to install. I typically remove the cover(s) and clean the coils and inside of the unit each spring before they are installed, the construction of these units makes this a straight forard task.

Why is it so loud?!

Why is this unit so loud?! It’s not quiet and it’s not energy-efficient as another reviewer reported. I will be returning this obnoxiously loud ac unit. It cools, but it’s not worth the price - I can’t hear the baby monitor in the same room as the AC unit running.

Good, lightweight unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a 5000 BTU Frigidaire unit that broke after 5 years. What pleasantly surprised me is how light and compact it is. The only downside is that the noise is more annoying than my last one—not necessarily louder, but higher pitched and buzzier. Maybe the lighter weight leads to this. Overall though it seems like a solid unit.

Great air conditioner
