Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending hours researching the many types of AC units and their reviews I chose this as my first AC purchase for the bedroom (18' x 13' = 234 sf. It is advertised for rooms up to 250 sf). No matter the temperature or mode setting, or how long it is running, it turns off when the room temp is 73 degrees. One of the main reasons I picked this unit was for the lower noise rating. Being my first AC unit I have nothing to compare it to except your usual hotel AC. It isn't much quieter. The unit is actually quietest with the fan on high which I find to be odd. Overall, it does cool the room which would be 80 degrees without it. But considering it is advertised to maintain a temperature as low as 62 it is disappointing that the lowest room temperature obtained is 73 degrees.

Below are a couple of tips for the cooling issue.
• Please check the temperature sensing element to see if it is touching the cold coil, located behind air filter. Straighten away from coil.
• Reset to a lower temperature.
• The compressor can shut-off by changing modes. Wait approximately 3 minutes and listen for compressor to restart when set in the COOL mode.
Regarding the noise, air movement of course makes sounds. This is normal. If too loud, set to a lower FAN setting.
If there is window vibration, there could be poor installation. Refer to installation instructions in your Use and Care Guide or check with the installer. COOL! But seems to have a lot of rattles and inconsistent noises. But great for a bedroom. Allows us to shut off the central air all night every night regardless how hot it is outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an open box , which I never do .It look like it was near removed from box all original packing, but have to say worst air conditioner I have ever bought .I have bought a few air conditioners over the years and always choose this brand for price and quality . noisy ,Temperature seems off, called for a filter cleaning opened it filter was clean going to be calling for service

The check filter indicator is designed to highlight after 250 hours of use, not based on the actual cleanliness of the filter. Simply hold the Filter button for 3 seconds and it will reset.

GREAT AIR CONDITIONER
