We have had several hp printers over the years and always good luck and service. The new printers seem to need to be online to work which is an issue when there is no internet or you just want to work with stored files etc.

Got tired of buying expensive ink cartridges which were about the price of a new printer. Decided to try the HP Smart Tank. I chose the 6001 because it prints double sided without having to reload the page myself. A plus for me. The printer is quiet, was easy to install and the loading of the ink was seamless. Definitely enjoying this printer.

The windows application keep crashing and cannot tell when you need alignment or flushing the head. This make stripes on the printed materials.

Double sided printing is done by manual turn over scan I was not told it did not have an automatic multi page scan capability like my previous HP 4500 It was replacing. Excellent print quality and very easy set up.

Just got the printer so I haven't worked on all the features. The online installation was good; however, I wonder if I can print when the internet is down? It seems so but I'm not sure.
Printer is more solid that previous printer (HP Envy). I was able to print from several devices in the household network, with different operating systems.
