Great features. One or two shortcomings.

We got this oven mid-November. We really like the job it does. It is very roomy compared to our old oven. The shortcomings are: poor instructions in general, but specifically for connecting to wifi (and we are tech savvy); not particularly user friendly instructions to set up baking or roasting with probe; very short probe with connection on only one side of the oven, making placement in Thanksgiving turkey hard to get in as directed and forcing turkey closer to the front of the oven.
The oven temperature is accurate and my products generally get done on the shorter end of the recommended time, including cookies, banana bread, chicken, fish, casseroles. I haven't tried the air fry feature yet.

After having two kitchenAid ovens and both giving me many problems, went with this GR Cafe. I am thrilled with the ease of operation and the way it heats evenly, and it is quiet!! Love the look too!!

Love the Air Fry feature!

We've had this oven about a month now and it has been great. I have used the Air Fry feature way more than I thought I would, to make fancy gourmet items like chicken nuggets and french fries for the kids. ;) Really it has been a great oven so far. Looking forward to roasting a Thanksgiving turkey!

Loud Hum

Have had this for 5 months now. When we purchased the unit, there was a loud 60hz hum that could be heard when the oven was turned off or at certain times while running. GE indicated that WE would be responsible for hiring separately to remove the oven. Then they would replace parts. And we would again have to hire separately to re-install the oven. (We live 15 minutes outside a major city). The hum is still there.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is normal for your oven to make a humming noise while it's running or right after you've switched it off. This is the sound of the automatic cooling fan which helps cool the oven and its electrical controls. The fan will run for a while after the oven has been turned off. If that isn't the issue, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and reaching out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737 or you can schedule online. Thank you! Joyce@Cafe
