GE Profile™ 27" Smart Built-In Convection oven
on June 1, 2026

from California
I love theGE Profile™ 27" Smart Built-In Convection Double Wall Oven. It reaches the desired temperature in no time as the preheat is very fast and cooks evenly. I use the keep warm feature a lot. I used to have a warming drawer but with the warm mode In was able to have my double oven. The best thing is the airfryer mode. The slide out racks are wonderful. The control panel is great. The connectivity is easy to use and very handy. Both ovens are quite large and accommodate multi rack baking easily.

Loud!
on May 11, 2026

The oven makes a lot of noise when it is preheating, during convection and air fry. I am guessing that it's the fan or fan motor. It seems much louder than it should be. Our previous oven was super quiet compared to this one.

It’s normal for the cooling fan in your wall oven to turn on automatically. This fan helps cool internal components and may continue running for up to 1½ hours after the oven has been turned off.

Keep in mind that wall oven operation noises can vary from what you may have experienced with a previous unit. Different designs, ventilation systems, and internal components can result in sounds that seem unfamiliar, even though they are normal for the appliance.

For more details on the types of sounds a unit may make during operation, you can refer to this article:

Mixed feelings
on May 7, 2026

American Home Shield replacement. Looks good, replaced old Jenn-Aire. Like control panel. Bakes well. Not happy that 1) there is no burner on the bottom of either oven which we is how to get a crispy pizza crust; and 2) It takes forever to reach desired cooking temperature.

We'd like to share some information about the bake elements and long preheating times. Many of our wall ovens, this model included, have a hidden bake element. This design places the bake element under the floor of the oven were it is concealed under a non-removable porcelain enameled oven floor bottom.

For the preheating time, it can be normal for this model to take around 15 to 20 minutes to reach the desired temperature. There are certain factors that can increase the preheating time, such as starting temperature of the oven and the room temperature. You can view more information about the preheating time here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16540

Love it. Fit perfectly with the kitchen remodel. Looks great, love the touch screen controls and is about 30-40% more efficient than our previous oven.

The door keeps falling apart
on April 24, 2026
Posted by: AZNana
The door to the oven that is less than a year old keeps falling apart. A Bodewell service person that came to look at it found that the glass is attached to the door with ordinary tape. He indicated this was a manufacturing issue. I would not buy this again.
Why would GE use tape to attach glass to the door of an oven? Moreover, the service person found out that the tape was just used at the corners. His solution was to slap regular silicone, (instead of high-temperature silicone) around the perimeter where the glass attaches to the door, instead of properly removing the tape, cleaning the components and reattaching the glass to the door with high-temperature silicone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Faulty LCD display panel
on April 15, 2026
Posted by: Unusable oven
My brand new GE Appliance was installed in my brand new kitchen and it does not work. The LCD display is not responding to my touch. Therefore I cannot even turn it on. I have had it installed for 2 weeks now, and I still can't use it. Kinda discouraging. A repair man has been out but the part was not available. Is has been ordered, but nothing yet.

Although there is a learning curve to become familiar with all its uses, am more than pleased with the offered options i have and the evenness of cooking temperatures.
