Couldn’t live without my MK3i

I only have great things to say about my MK3i. The watch and Garmin ecosystem have fundamentally awoke my fitness and health awareness. I appreciate the direction we are heading with wearable tech. One thing that I can attest to without any doubt is the absolute quality of the glass. I beat this watch up daily and have yet to scratch or crack the glass. The raised bezel does its job exceptionally well.
I bought this over a months ago and I enjoy ever single day! So many things you can use it for besides diving, especially if you work out or doing anything active. The charge on the battery is insane it lasts forever. I have a teric and a perdix which are great dive computers but that’s all they are. I use this garmin for biking, swimming , working out and everything I try to do. Totally love it.
I have had all previous versions of the Descent MK and I have loved them! So was super keen to grab the MK3i! Super keen to take it for a spin off Straddie and also do the Noosa Tri in 2 weeks! Husband also gets a new computer in grabbing my MK2i now… lucky man
I enjoy the watch, but the transmitter does not stay connected. I keep losing my air pressure reading

I got the 51mm, and it is a chonk (in a good way). The titanium band is very nice, but even adjusted to smallest setting, is a touch loose for me (8” wrists), so consider that. I’ve done about 8 dives in murky water, but only down about 30 feet. The sceen is easy to read, and all the features seem very useful, even for a noob like me. It does a strange thing where it’ll go into “Red-Shift” mode rather randomly. And…..the flashlight is very handy! I use that all the time. Not cheap, but I have no regrets.
What I like most about this watch is that it never loses communication with its’ transceiver, unlike other air-integrated dive watches I’ve owned; maybe because it’s range is 10 meters instead of just 1 meter. I also like that it automatically goes into dive mode with no required action by me except to descend below 4 feet. I also like that with the Garmin Descent S1 Buoy, I am able to find my way back to the dive boat (Find My Buoy) out to 100 meters, which was something I’ve been looking for over the 40 years that I’ve been diving.
This is a fantastic tool to link with your phone and keep up with emails and other important input. It is Extraordinary accessory for diving and other sport activities. Not only is it excellent in keeping track of your time, depth, and air consumption (When using with a transmitter), It gives simple tools to track your dive buddies and send simple messages.
