The sound is great but it died in 5 hours on fully charged, so your 16 hours of playing time is not accurate. Not happy with that, and to order a spare battery you guys didn’t even have it in stock. Big spending money on a speaker that can’t even last the hours you guys are stating.

Our JBL Partybox 130 has a published playtime of up to 15 hours which is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Please charge the earbuds to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact our customer support for further assistance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whats not to love!!! The JBL PartyBox 130 is everything you need to take your next gathering to the next level. The one thing I hated is that I had to doqnload an additional app to control this speaker, apart from my other JBL headphones/speakers. However once I had it was a great to control the melody. The sound was fire 🔥Did I mention its waterproof!?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Impressive is the word that comes to mind when I think of how to describe this speaker. This has become the game changer this summer. We take it every camping trip and use it constantly at home as well. The volume will surprise you almost as much as the quality of the sound. It’s crazy durable and easy to transport for its size. I like the versatility of the features as well. You can turn the lights on or off and Aura Cast is amazing. I used Aura Cast to connect another speaker and it felt like we had a professional DJ at our party. This speaker is so much more than just a loud speaker. The optical connection allows us to connect to the tv for incredible sound and the equalizer lets you fine tune to your preferences if one of the other options isn’t doing it for you.I recommend this speaker to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed I promise you. My new favorite.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I reviewed the JBL PartyBox 130. I really enjoyed the design for portability by the use of the foldable handle. The compact display by use of a single-dial control panel offersa simpleout of box experience. On the back of the speaker are the battery compartment and connections. The swappable battery allows for an extended experience in a y location. The one battery provided close to the 15 hours of stated continuous playtime. The connectivity options like dual mic/guitar inputs, Bluetooth 6.0, and Auracast for pairing multiple speakers performed as other products tested. My experience was enhanced by the JBL PartyBox app. The new features i experienced made for a more enjoyable experience. It allows you to fully customize the beat-synced lightshow's colors and animations as well as newly added DJ sound effects to the speaker's top-panel buttons or through application for instant playback. At the end of the day this speaker provided a great experience and value. The one drawback was the sounds of the lows or bass. Sometimes felt flat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this speaker it connects to all my JBL speakers with JBL connect. Fully controllable from the JBL ap. My kids took over the speaker the first day it showed up and its been the family bumping source during showers and bathroom time. Excellent to boost mood and liven up a sleepy morning getting ready. The lights show is totally awesome and my daughter spends alot of time going through all the settings. Might have to get a second one for a stereo affect of the same size. Get down by the river. Hands down the best feature is the removable charging battery, totally innovative design. Run your battery out, bam just swap it out no cracking ipen the case anymore of just orsering a new speaker. Exvellent job on this steller speaker JBL, knocked it out of the park!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great sound quality, portable and super fun lights! This speaker is a party box thats ready to go. I enjoy being able to easily take it outdoors to enjoy music while gardening or sitting on the porch. Perfect for bbq or get togethers, anywhere you want to bring the music. I installed the JBL ONE app on my phone to control the speakers sound, lights and even some fun effects. The bass makes playing all my 80’s favorites sound even better. Charging is relatively quick and it lasts a long time. You can plug in a corded microphone or a guitar to the back. I have listened to podcasts/true crime with my phone and used the party box to listen while cleaning. Overall I am looking forward to all the ways I will use this portable, great sounding and fun speaker.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker is awesome! I’ve been a longtime fan of JBL, and the PartyBox 130 certainly does not disappoint.
It’s physically pretty large. I was initially concerned about it being ungainly. But it has quickly become my most used speaker. It’s well built and feels sturdy, but is not not hard at all to move around, especially with the built in carry handle. I have yet to actually time the battery life, but I don’t bother to drag around an extension cord. It makes it even more convenient.
And of course it sounds great. Classic JBL sound quality with solid bass. It gets pretty loud. I’ve used it mostly outdoors for family gatherings, like at the pool and in the backyard. It was plenty loud enough for that.
I also explored using it with an electronic keyboard, and it works really well for that. The PartyBox has great connectivity options.
The app helps to get extra utility out of the speaker. Equalizer, bass settings, lights, etc. can all be adjusted very easily via the app. Super convenient.
The only downside was that the lights don’t really seem to contribute much to the speaker. I couldn’t get them to synchronize to the music that well, if they are supposed to at all.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this speaker. It’s perfect inside and outside events. I had it set up to host about 50 people for a field day and the sound traveled! It punches way above its weight class when it comes to volume. The treble is also very clean no matter the bass level. Some speakers get muddy when the bass is punching, but not this one.
The light show is also the best I have seen on any speaker. It actually syncs with the music!
The charging is fast and reliable. I was honestly surprised how long it lasted on full blast.
I have to give props to the JBL one app. I love the fact that I could put the speaker to sleep or wake it up whenever I’m ready.
Honestly, I could go on about this Party Box 130. This thing is next level.
