Overpriced

Very aesthetically pleasing but very over priced for what it is. The sifter does not work well at all however the rest of the set is nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but strainer isn’t great

This matcha set is beautiful! I bought the pink set and am really pleased with the aesthetics. But I had to knock off a star because the stainless steel strainer is unfortunately not super functional compared to the traditional mesh strainers. It’s shallow, which makes it more likely that you will spill matcha powder while sifting. (Matcha is already expensive to begin with, so it’s a shame to waste any.) And you have to work harder and take more time to get the matcha powder through the holes. Like another reviewer said, I hope that Fellow makes some changes and releases a new design for the strainer that fixes the functionality issues. I’m planning to keep the set, but I will need to purchase a different strainer. If it’s you’re hoping this set will have everything you need, just keep this design flaw in mind.

Easy to Use and Elegant

The overall set in white is gorgeous, especially the frosted glass "bowl" that comes with. It looks amazing on our dark countertops and the tools are surprisingly easy to maintain. Our only complaint is that the whisk isn't as high of quality as we would've liked. The tines are warping after only a few uses.

Beautiful set but flawed sifter design

This is a beautiful and high quality tea set I have been enjoying with my wife (I bought the pink one). Fellow were thoughtful in making it large enough to serve two people (although I think traditionally each person is meant to get their own). My only complaint is that it is difficult and frankly inelegant getting the tea through the sifter. A wire mesh sifter although not as pretty is nevertheless much more effective and still authentic to the traditional experience.

Beautiful set, but sifter is not very practical

First, I want to make sure that I state right away that I think the Fellow Matcha Set is beautiful, sleek, and elegant looking.
Despite reading concerns at least 2 other reviewers pointed out regarding the stainless steel sifter, I decided to go ahead and buy the Fellow Matcha Set in black as I wanted to get the set for my office where I keep my original Fellow Corvo EKG Pro Kettle I purchased a couple of years ago in the solid Classic Black color.
I unfortunately have to agree with other reviewers who feel that the sifter is problematic for its intended use. It's impossible to get all of the matcha powder to go through the tiny holes in the sifter and it is too shallow which makes it too easy to inadvertently knock matcha powder all over the place. Because of it, I end up with a mess on my hands and wasted matcha powder that remains stuck in many of the tiny holes in the sifter.
Also, one needs to practice extra patience using the Fellow Matcha Set sifter as it will take you longer to make matcha compared to seconds using a typical stainless fine mesh sifter. So, although I will keep the Fellow Matcha Set sifter, you will see in the included photo that I also have a stainless steel fine mesh sifter that I have been using instead.
I hope Fellow will consider making improvements to the Fellow Matcha Set sifter and I hope that Fellow will have a new and improved sifter available for purchase separately for those of us who bought the Matcha Set with this version of the stainless steel sifter.
