Quiet 5 efficient dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our secend Frigidaire dehumidifier replacing an 8 year old unit that ran nearly 24/7 in our basement. I love the larger bucket and the "red line" indicator in the sight glass. Much easier to see water level. The one issue I have is that if I so choose to attach a hose, the connection is directly above where the electric cablke exits the unit. Potentially hazardous.

Regarding your concern about the hose connection location, we understand why that arrangement would raise concern. The continuous drain port is positioned near the rear lower section of the unit, and in some configurations it can be close to the power cord exit point. This design is intended to support gravity or pump-assisted drainage options while maintaining a compact footprint, but we recognize that proximity can feel less than ideal depending on hose routing.
A few suggestions that may help improve safety and setup: Route the drain hose downward and away from the cord path immediately after connection to create separation Use hose clips or adhesive mounts to secure and guide the hose along a different path Ensure the power cord is positioned to the side and not directly beneath or against the hose connection If using continuous drain frequently, consider a slight elevation or stand to help better separate cord and hose routing

Efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in very humid Florida, so this was a necessity for me- however this thing is great because even with a heavy load it can take a few days to fill up its tank which is convenient to me at least.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing an EC error code with your appliance, Model FHDD5034Y1, after only two years of use. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this situation must be.
For basic troubleshooting, we recommend unplugging the unit for several minutes to allow it to reset, then reconnecting power and checking if the error returns. Please also ensure the air filter and coils are clean and that the unit has proper airflow around it, as restricted airflow can sometimes affect operation. If the EC code persists, service may be required.

Great so far!

Received this unit as a direct replacement from Frigidaire as the prior model failed within the 1-year manufacturer's warrantee period. This new unit has only been in service for about one week as of this writing. So far, it's working fine but time will tell. i must say however how truly impressed I am with Frigidaire's response to quickly replace the failed unit. No nonsense. Quick and easy with minimal overhead to customer. Nice job! Very impressed.

Pretty Good, but Missing Major Notification Feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit seems well made. It's working well. However, the online functions leave a lot to be desired. For the Amazon Alexa integration, there are no Frigidaire devices or skills listed on the Alexa site. You have to go to the Frigidaire app into your profile (not an obvious location) to find the integration option. The biggest failing is in notifications. There are only 3 notifications and 2 of them are for filters. Where is the notification for when the tank is full? That happens almost very day and that's the most important notification. I hope they add it with a software update.
