With record tempuratures outside this summer, our house stays cool as ever with this powerful air conditioner. It is strong, and temp accurate. Just pick your tempurature and relax!

Perfect for a bedroom - if you're not noise sensitive

Purchase this for my new apartment as it did not have AC. I do find the unit can get extremely loud though the eco setting does somewhat help that the sleep mode does not seem to do much other than let the temperature increase overnight by 8° leaving me waking up way hotter than intended, so I do not find much used to it. Still haven't figured out the intricacy of the timers. While it does cool down the room at 8000 BTU, that is the best you're going to get it for. Even placing a couple fans trying to push the air out into my living space. It did not work.

Very efficient

Works perfect, looks great. My wife is totally blind and this is very easy for her to operate, both from the unit or the remote. Most things today require you read a display that is changed by one control. This also makes beeps to help.Well done and thank you!!!

Gets the job done

We were not sleeping due to the heat wave going through, with no plans to buy anything we saw this unit on a huge sale so took the leap and bought it. It works great! And we are sleeping wonderfully now.

Very noisy

I only used it once so far and I’m not sure if I received a dud. The fan is quite loud, as in it would be hard to take a phone call while it’s running. The condenser is quiet. It also took a while to cool my room and it wasn’t that hot the day I tried it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your portable air conditioner (Model FHWC083TC1) is louder than expected and took longer than anticipated to cool your room after initial use.
For basic troubleshooting, we recommend confirming that the unit is placed on a level surface with adequate clearance around the air intake and exhaust to ensure proper airflow. Make sure the exhaust hose is installed correctly, not kinked, and sealed properly at the window kit, as poor venting can impact cooling performance and increase operating noise. Also, verify that the air filter is clean and properly seated, since restricted airflow can cause the fan to work harder and sound louder. It may also help to allow the unit a short stabilization period during first-time use as it begins cooling the space.
If the noise remains unusually loud or performance does not improve, further inspection may be required.
