Does not cool efficiently

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My bedroom is not big and AC takes 3-4 hrs to cool the room, that too after setting temperature at 63 and it makes room temperature 73. No problem with noise.
Would not buy it again.

Here are some tips to use in getting the best cooling performance from your home comfort appliance.
*Ensure the capacity of the room air conditioner fits your room size for efficient and satisfactory operation. You may visit https://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support-FAQs/Home-Comfort/ to learn further details about the correct BTU’s for your room.
* Try installing your air conditioner on the shady side of your home/room. A window that faces north is best because it is shaded most of the day. Or, try keeping blinds and drapes in other windows closed during the sunniest part of the day.
* External house shading with trees, plants or awnings will help reduce the air conditioner’s workload.
If the above suggestions prove ineffective, please contact us directly by dialing 800-374-4432. Our Customer Care Team is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-8pm EST.

Loud and freezing up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was workinf fine for a bit. It has always been extremely loud though which is quit frustrating. However my big issue right now is it freezes up all over the front coils. The filter is clean i am assuming there is water buildup inside becauss it sounds liek a washing machine running. Idk if i was supposed to remove some plug or something somehwee ebut idk how to grt the water out or stop it from happening. Water is condensating on the outisde kf the ac into my house and the ice is also forming inside it.

ok air conditioner

we purchased two 8000 and one 12000 BTU air conditioners and they are ok. I expected them to cool better and be more powerful. the ancient ones they replaced were much colder and we didn't have to set the temps so low. no doubt this is big brother's doing not the manufacturer. the are considerably smaller than older models which looks nicer in the window but I guess we gave up cooling for newness and style. not sure I would buy them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] just bought this unit it does not blow very cold air.installed properly this 8000 btu unitdoes not blow 1/2 as cold as the 3yr old 7000 btu unit.the 7000 blows almost 10 degrees colder air both set at 63 dgrees very disappointing!

Please ensure that your model is properly seated and installed with all insulating material and that there are no loose components vibrating against the chassis.

LOUD!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cools the room well but it's loud! I got this AC for my bedroom. I live in an apartment and it came with an AC in the living room. They do not supply you with a remote. I thought when I got the one for my bedroom I would be able to use the remote in both rooms as they are both Frigidaires. But it doesn't work. I thought they would be universal but it's not. Oh well, it cools the place so I can move on....
