Frigidaire 8,000 BTU window A/C

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with this purchase. The price was right at BJ’s and the square footage coverage cools our bedroom and the hallway. We are replacing a 10,000 BTU which stopped cooling after 5 years. This newer model is efficient and quiet.

A thing to remember, all air conditioner make some kind of noise when operation and its certainly normal. Sound of Rushing Air-At the top of the unit, you may hear the sound of rushing air being moved by the fan. Gurgle/Hiss-noise may be heard due to refrigerant passing through evaporator during normal operation. High pitched chatter-today's high efficiency compressors may have a high pitched chatter during the cooling cycle. Vibration-Unit may vibrate and make noise because of poor wall or window construction or incorrect installation.
