What A Bag!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Graduated from ho-hum to oh wow! What a bag. 10 day trip overseas. Easy access zip pouches in the front. Quality rocks. As long as you don't over stuff it easily fits under airline seating. Built to last. Zipped side pouches are super nice touch. Lots of interior compartments. Could make this a weekender if you pack smart. A swiss army knife of a backpack. Comfortable shoulder straps and bag is lightweight - even for Tumi's amazing ballistic nylon. Grab one - you will love it.
I love my new updated Brief Backpack . I enjoy the structure - how it does not slouch at all and is upright at all times. I enjoy all of the compartments - very well laid out. I just discovered that if you start from the top and unzip both zippers at the same time down the main compartment, it automatically and quickly unfolds outwards so you can see everything exposed on the inside- nice touch because everything is exposed and the bag ceases to become a black abyss to lose things in. The two front zip pockets in the front are exceptional - and are not one dimensional slots,- they are actual roomy bins that can fit sunglasses cases, pen cases and probably even headphones. Looking forward to work and trips with this bag and discovering more cool things it can do - organizing all of my crap! It would be nice to see slightly beefier shoulder straps and maybe one or two more attachment points to hang a Tumi accessory from. But I get it - it’s a more business/work aesthetic (not hiking!). My first major Tumi product. Good job!

Huge TUMI fan, have a ton of their bags. This laptop bag is a fail. Claims to be a laptop bag BUT they don't have a suspended laptop compartment. They used to put that in all their backpacks and for some reason didn't in this one. If you have carried many laptops in backpacks this is a huge risk as you don't always set the bag down as soft as you want and all that force hits the laptop, padding of a 1/2 inch doesn't blunt much force. I have owned 20 laptops over the years and probably 10 backpacks, this is a really bad design.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the backpack, both of my sons have the same model, and I highly recommend it. I traveled all over Africa with it, and it was extremely practical and durable.
