No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, we’re sorry to hear you’ve been having such a frustrating experience trying to update the firmware on your Wyze Window Cam, we understand how important it is to keep your device running smoothly.
To help resolve this issue, we recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps: power cycling the camera by unplugging it for 5–10 seconds before plugging it back in, and performing a factory reset (after removing any microSD card) by holding the setup button for about 10 seconds until the status light changes. Then, set up the camera again and attempt the update.
If you have not, please reach out to our Wizards team (https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us) so we may help diagnose the issue.
We appreciate your patience and feedback, and we’re here to help get this resolved for you!
Picture quality is good but it constantly disconnects from my WiFi. I have no issue with other devices on my WiFi so not an issue with my router. Misses lots of events. The mounting tape is hard to remove from the window.
The picture is very clear but I was expecting more of a doorbell function I don't see any need for the speaker AND microphone If it doesn't tell me someone is at the door
Wzye Window Cam is a real game changer, it has provided a clear picture day and night. I actually purchased two and am very happy with both. I highly recommend this camera as an add on, or stand alone.
I have been using the (my) new Window Cam as a star camera. Yes, I put one in a weather tight box added a domed clear plexi port on top and let it run day and night looking up at the skies. This camera is so sensitive I can track more stars, satellites and aircraft than I can see with just my eyes. So far I have tracked a meteor bursting overhead one early morning. I have one window cam on the front of my home and filmed the northern lights one night so I wondered what would happen if a window cam was pointed at the dark skies we have here in Lakeview Oregon. Thanks for making a fun camera that can be used for some off the wall ideas!
