Make sure you tilt it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, this unit was installed with a 3 degree angle tilt down outside the window with the blue outer drain plug removed. A small amount of water ran down the inside wall. I tilted another 3 degrees and now it drips fine outside with no water inside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When purchasing an item such as an A/C unit, typically you do your due diligence and read reviews to come to your own conclusion. This is one unit that stands up to these reviews. Besides looking aesthetically pleasing, most reviews commented how quiet this unit is. I have learned that reviews may not always be true, there is a lot of "untruths" written out there, but this is not one of them! This has to be the QUIETEST A/C unit I have ever owned. Seriously. Sometimes, you would not even know it is running if it was not for the green light bar. The 10,000 BTU comes into play and cools down our small apartment effortlessly and FAST. We purchased the extra filter for piece of mind on the quality of the air it spreads. It is a plus that it has an Energy Star rating as well. We also really love how it "shuts" its panel when not in use. You won't have any trouble watching TV with this on! I cannot recommend this A/C unit highly enough! If you need a window unit, then please give this a go. You will NOT be sorry!

Should’ve bought sooner

Keeping our loft cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently purchased 3 Frigidaire Gallery 10,000 window air conditioners for our large, open loft space. The installation looked easy - we paid to have them installed (my husband and I are in our 80s). We bought brackets to set them on and feel confident that they are securely in the windows. Now that they're up and running we're amazed at how quiet these air conditioners are. Even with all 3 of them running at the same time we can't hear them at all unless we walk right up close to them. I really like the fan-only feature for days that aren't really hot enough to need cooling. It allows us to bring in fresh air. Our loft has been very comfortable with these air conditioners and we highly recommend them.
