Just got the CS-PRO in the mail today, along with the carry case and I’m already so stoked about it. The filters look awesome, and the low setting for the xenon flash is perfect for darker indoor photos. Super easy to download the pictures straight to my iPhone!
Love this camera so much! I got it as a Christmas present and it’s been an amazing gift. I’ve taken it snowboarding, skateboarding, to party’s, hangouts and day hikes. It captures the moments perfectly. And for durableness, I’m on the Pacific Crest Trail right now and it’s seen rain, snow and freezing temps. It’s been dropped, slid down the side of a mountain, covered in dust and just generally abused 💀. Still works great though and even after taking over 500 photos it’s still at 3/4 charge, I’ve been out here for over a month and haven’t charged it once. Like I said, amazing camera with amazing quality both photos and construction!
If you have the original and are debating about getting the Pro, my advice is to just do it. Image quality is much better while retaining that early digital/film look. I appreciate being able to switch between 4 presets, having a dedicated off button, 2 settings for flash, and I think the biggest upgrade a much faster shutter. You can also add a 37mm screw on filter or lens cover (don't forget to take it off when you shoot). Size is slightly larger but still compact enough to fit into a fanny or small backpack. Overall a worthy upgrade that addresses most of the shortcomings of the original.
Camp Snap Pro is a fun little camera that feels great in hand, the grip is surprisingly solid and comfortable for everyday use. It really shines when shooting in black and white, the photos come out with a nice contrast and character that’s hard to dislike.
That said, color performance is disappointing. Even after trying most of the available filters, it’s difficult to get anything that looks natural or consistent. The viewfinder is also quite frustrating, what you see rarely matches the final image, which makes framing a bit of a guessing game.
Despite the “Pro” name, it still feels more like a toy than a serious camera.
Since this camera arrived, I haven’t left home without it. It serves as a perfect daily recorder for me, and I couldn't be more pleased. Everything is exactly as I expected—from the camera body itself to the final image quality. While I have a few very minor criticisms, they are so insignificant that they’re not worth listing. I'm truly satisfied. Thanks!
