[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New 12,000 btu Inverter Unit lasted 4 months in Summer 2024 and failed to cool any time in this extreme heat of June 2025. Did buy 5 year optional warranty. Unit & warranty bought online directly from Frigidaire. Waiting 3 weeks for factory exact model replacement, as promised. I did buy at same time a new 8,000btu inverter unit for my bedroom. That one works great & quietly!!

Garage with second level craft room loft and storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this air conditioner to cool our 22 feet long, 13 feet wide, by 14 foot high garage with a craft room loft. It handles the space very well. Since use of the space is intermittent I have found that even with the space has an elevated temperature, when we turn the unit on, it catches up in a reasonable time. We did install a quiet supplemental fan on the floor, pointing up the stairs to the craft room loft and storage area. This helps circulate the cooler air into the upper part of this 14 foot high ceiling garage. Because I have tinnitus, I especially appreciate how quiet this Air Conditoner is. I definitely recommend this air conditioner for larger spaces.

Big problem, great a/c.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest problem is with the vanes used to direct the airflow left and right, they don't work! They are so small that they are useless the air goes straight from the unit. The vanes need to be bigger. Besides that problem the unit works great! It's cold, quiet, and I love the wifi controls on the phone. Fix the airflow direction problem and I will give it 5 stars.

Meets expectations...which means "I quite like it!"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "Frosty", so its name in the app that can control it, has been doing duty for its first brief heatwave since installation. While my room is but a little over 300 sq-ft, I am certainly happy to have acquired the 12000 BTU/500 sq-ft version, because on the top floor with a room facing both south and west, the additional capacity is more than welcome.
As advertised, it is quiet, and as I write this, the airstream is more auditable than the compressor. Fantastic!
We'll see how it fares throughout the summer (it is the beginning of June as I write this), but so far, knowing what I know now, I would absolutely repeat the purchase.

Super quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Frigidaire gallery AC. Love my first model but it’s kinda noisy. This new model AWESOME! Not only is it quiet but it tells you the air quality outside with a indicator that lights up in green, yellow and red.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This window unit has changed all the expectations I've ever had regarding window units. No exaggeration. Getting it installed was nearly effortless, as the weight was much lower than a lot of other units with half the cooling capacity. The side pieces slid on with no fuss. From inside the room, it appears to be a relatively small unit, as most of the volume is in the depth. The appearance is totally sleek and modern. Even the screen is seamlessly integrated into the front. It's invisible when the unit is powered down, which is neat. Getting the unit running was beyond easy. The buttons and functions are clearly labeled and I figured out each mode and setting in maybe 30 seconds. The performance is extraordinary. The windows in my apartment all face south and get full sun, plus the whole building is an old, uninsulated 3-wythe brick building with a ton of thermal mass. I can walk into my place after a long, hot, sunny day and the whole main room (relatively large) is noticeably cooler within a minute or two of turning the unit on. Fully comfortable within five minutes. The adjacent rooms cooled down within ten. This unit is surprising in all the best ways. Also worth mentioning is the sound, or near lack thereof. Even on the most powerful fan speeds, the noise is barely noticeable, and not at all annoying even when sitting right in front of it. Also, I'm not sure if there's a VFD or just a soft start in it, but it doesn't have an obnoxious amp draw when starting. Many other units are guilty of flipping breakers or dimming your lights because the startup pulls too many amps at first. Not an issue with this one. If I had to come up with a single critique of this unit at all, it would be the length of the cord. It's about 3-4 feet, which is fine for most applications. Overall, I am completely impressed. I look forward to letting this unit manage the temp in my apartment all summer.
