[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New 12,000 btu Inverter Unit lasted 4 months in Summer 2024 and failed to cool any time in this extreme heat of June 2025. Did buy 5 year optional warranty. Unit & warranty bought online directly from Frigidaire. Waiting 3 weeks for factory exact model replacement, as promised. I did buy at same time a new 8,000btu inverter unit for my bedroom. That one works great & quietly!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This window unit has changed all the expectations I've ever had regarding window units. No exaggeration. Getting it installed was nearly effortless, as the weight was much lower than a lot of other units with half the cooling capacity. The side pieces slid on with no fuss. From inside the room, it appears to be a relatively small unit, as most of the volume is in the depth. The appearance is totally sleek and modern. Even the screen is seamlessly integrated into the front. It's invisible when the unit is powered down, which is neat. Getting the unit running was beyond easy. The buttons and functions are clearly labeled and I figured out each mode and setting in maybe 30 seconds. The performance is extraordinary. The windows in my apartment all face south and get full sun, plus the whole building is an old, uninsulated 3-wythe brick building with a ton of thermal mass. I can walk into my place after a long, hot, sunny day and the whole main room (relatively large) is noticeably cooler within a minute or two of turning the unit on. Fully comfortable within five minutes. The adjacent rooms cooled down within ten. This unit is surprising in all the best ways. Also worth mentioning is the sound, or near lack thereof. Even on the most powerful fan speeds, the noise is barely noticeable, and not at all annoying even when sitting right in front of it. Also, I'm not sure if there's a VFD or just a soft start in it, but it doesn't have an obnoxious amp draw when starting. Many other units are guilty of flipping breakers or dimming your lights because the startup pulls too many amps at first. Not an issue with this one. If I had to come up with a single critique of this unit at all, it would be the length of the cord. It's about 3-4 feet, which is fine for most applications. Overall, I am completely impressed. I look forward to letting this unit manage the temp in my apartment all summer.

Don’t know how the magic works but it does

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I can’t tell you how much I’m impressed with this unit. I replaced my 3 year old unit, which was also an inverter style unit along with the same BTU rating and for some reason this guy cools down the whole level I’m using it on way faster. It even seems to cool off a room that never really seem to cool prior to this one.
What I like about this unit is on its highest setting, it’s not really that disturbingly loud at all. Yes it’s loud as expected but not annoying. Another neat feature I’m not use to is the air quality light. I really like how it has a light that tells you the current status of the air quality in the room. My air purifier does this also but it’s nice to have this on the AC.
Install wasn’t anything really special compared to any other window unit, however the side cover that expand out to seal up the whole window, it really does allow you to seal everything right up if you’re willing to drill holes in your window frame.
Overall great unit that I think anyone would like and have zero to few complaints towards it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Smart and Powerful AC for My Guest Room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently installed the Frigidaire Gallery Inverter Window Air Conditioner (GHWW125TE1) in a guest room that doesn’t have central AC, and the transformation has been incredible. This room had an outdated unit that came with the house—loud, inefficient, and full of dust. The GHWW125TE1 is a night-and-day difference. Not only is the design sleek and modern, but it cools the room fast and runs with impressive efficiency.
As a tech enthusiast, the Wi-Fi integration is what really sold me. Being able to control the unit from my phone, adjust the temperature remotely, and monitor usage is exactly what I expect from a modern appliance in 2025. So far, it’s been flawless. The room stays consistently cool, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it holds up during the peak summer heat.

Powerful unit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Frigidaire 12,000 BTU Inverter Window Room Air Conditioner successfully cools my 500 square foot loft and helps to cool my downstairs as well. I love that I can control it from my phone with the Frigidaire App. Child lock is a must having two children under 5 years old, and being able to see the air quality by the green, yellow or red light gives this mom peace of mind!
