The Club Sport Handbrake V2 is a definite improvement over the previous version. It is a very solid built with adjustments for the for tension and handle position. I am very happy that they got rid of the potentiometer which in the older version was a pain when it gets dust in it. I also did not like the headphone jack on the cable that connected the cable to the handbrake but a much improved cable to me on the version 2. I would recommend anyone to but the version 2 hand brake.

As a beginner to sim racing, I started with the basics: wheel, wheel base, and pedals. My budget was tight, so I skipped the shifter and handbrake because I mainly wanted to experience sim racing and learn the fundamentals.
Man, did I wait too long to get the Fanatec Handbrake!
This thing has genuinely improved my driving, especially in rally. Being able to actually use the handbrake to rotate the car and slide through tight corners and hairpins has completely changed the experience for me. I finally feel like I can drive the way I see real rally drivers do.
If you're on the fence about getting one, especially if you enjoy rally racing, don't wait as long as I did. I needed this

I upgraded to the V2 handbrake due too a reoccuring fault with the V1's spikey signal and loose couplings.
The V2 has a more solid feel, the adjustibility is easy, as was calibration. In use the ability to utilise small increments of handbrake has transformed some of my difficult stage times.

This is a pretty good handbreak. The loadcell is very nice. Bould quality is also awesome, very sturdy. One gripe I have is mounting for my needs, was not the best. I mounted the handbreak upright for rally. It's mounted on a 40-80 aluminum profile. There is only room for 2 mount points. Which is not enough in my opinion. It causes the body to twist quite a bit when pulling the hand break. It makes me worried for the long term. So I'm going to have to make a mounting bracket to help reduce the twist. And to get the hand break mounted at an agengle. Would be nice if fanatec sold something for this. But besides that it works great.

As a drifter, the handbrake can be extremely useful. I spend a large portion of my time travelling sideways. This handbrake gives a really positive feeling and the analogue nature allows me to regulate the wheels rotations. And such a solid setup. Excellent
