Switched from g29 to a dd pro + loadcell and have to say that you have to learn how to drive once more. The amount of the settings in the FFB is freaking awesome. You can edit them to the personal feelings. First differences I found you can feel the rotation of the car much more quicker and avoid the spin. Braking on the loadcell is kinda different, but you dont overthink how deep you are pressing the pedal during the session - you just fell this on the muscle tension and I think this is awesome, but for sure it will take me some time to use the potential of this braking system. For now I don't fell i need the 8nm upgrade, but i have a strong will to test it and see the difference, just after I start to the decent lap times. More over the drifting seems to be possible now - the speed of the wheel is faster now, but I can imagine that the 8nm will be better for drifting.
Tested on Asetto Corsa Competitzione, Gran Turismo 7, and the old AC.
Fanatec Gran Turismo dd pro 5 nm, an impeccable product for me, excellent construction, robust and heats up very little even for long sessions of use, the 5 nm are perfectly perceptible, pedal board not perfect but excellent for basic gaming needs.
Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Inzwischen habe ich noch das GT3 CSL Lenkrad und das Boostkit. Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Demnächst folgen noch seat etc. Danke Fanatec
Very high quality motor and chassis. Very easy to setup. It has truly allowed me to be competitive with online sim racing and jump up the ratings. There is a learning curve to build muscle memory with direct drive so your first week will feel challenging. Only thing I wish was slightly better: need ability to update firmware without windows PC.
