I recently had the opportunity to use the Dyson V15 Detect, and I must say, it has completely transformed my cleaning routine. As someone who’s always been particular about maintaining a dust-free home, I was intrigued by the V15’s promise to detect microscopic dust—and it did not disappoint.
The first thing I noticed was its laser dust detection feature. This innovative addition projects a green laser light that illuminates even the tiniest dust particles on hard floors, revealing debris that would be invisible to the naked eye. It’s both fascinating and slightly alarming to see just how much dust accumulates, even after regular cleaning.
Another standout feature is the piezo sensor, which counts and measures the size of dust particles in real-time. The digital display shows this data, giving me a clear sense of the microscopic dust it picks up with every pass. It’s incredibly satisfying to watch the numbers decrease as I clean, knowing the vacuum is genuinely making a difference.

Don't purchase this item if you have OCD. I didn't realize I suffer from this disorder until I started using the product. I now find how truly dirty my floors are and they require me to mop them at least weekly if not more often. I have become a slave to my dyson and my floor mop. I see floor dirt without even looking for it! My life is in turmoil. All the above is said in jest. The product is amazing and easy to assemble and use!
I really like my Dyson vacuum. The only problem I have with is the stick part of the attachment is very tight. I have to hold the vacuum between my legs & pull hard to get it to come apart or have my husband help me pull it apart.
The past few years I have used a cordless Dyson and would not be without it. This new Dyson V15 that I recenty purchased definately has great performance features, but is too powerful for my plush carpeting in part of the house. In order to use this vaccum to clean the carpet I have to pull it in one direction. It will not go back and forth on the carpet. After I purchased this one, I gave my old one to my daughter and wished I had it back. It was not as powerful, but would clean the thick carpet as well as the hardwood floors. I do like the charging station. It is a great way to organize the attachments and have them readily available. The LED roller definately shows up all the hairs and dust on the floor that can not be seen with the naked eye.
It’s powerful -yet light & easy to carry around. The battery life is much longer than my old Dyson. I very seldom use the attachments but it’s great to have so many handy ones available. I’m very pleased with my new Dyson.
This is a great vacuum cleaner. Cleans our hardwood floors great, the light feature is fantastic and makes it easy finding the dust on the floor. The battery life is excellent. If you are looking for a great vacuum cleaner this is it.

Hello, I bought this vacuum cleaner on November 30th, used it one time and afterwards did not work anymore! I had a video call with Dyson and it was established the motor was no longer working. I had to return the vacuum cleaner, and I am currently waiting for a replacement which will take at least 3 weeks! I really hope the replacement will work. Honestly is very worrying that a brand new vacuum cleaner for which I have paid lots of money will fail after just one use!

This V15 replaced a 6 year old V11. It's OK, nothing special. But, the battery life is less then my V11 and the 'brush' head with it's laser shows just how much debris is not picked up or is thrown back out.
The brush head cannot be stripped down enough to get dog hair out of the ‘fixed’ side of the roller.
And like most Dyson’s they do a pretty good job of cleaning and a poor job of field stripping to use an air hose to blow out all the dirt, which has to be done with these.
My biggest complaint with any of the stick vacuums is that you need two hands to use an attachment with a hose. They need a trigger lock for those times you need use an attachment and hold onto to something like the brush-dusting attachment.
Fun tip. We use the Downy dryer beads to help keep any orders down. One or two dozen beads keeps a nice fragrance when vacuuming.
