ICE Maker is already broke

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not good. I have had the refrigerator for less than 3 months, and the lower freezer ice maker is broken. To top that off, the repair company came out to repair it, brought the wrong ice maker, and said these are on backorder and could be a month before he can get them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the refrigerator but the door scratched really easily a couple months into ownership. It is coated so really can't be buffed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Freezer was not freezing ice cream was always soft. Ice maker was not able to dispense crush ice, not enough Freezer space. Beautiful unit but was able to perform that way that was supposed to hard to reach down in the freezer compartment.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us! We're genuinely sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with your Whirlpool® Refrigerator ice dispenser. We're committed to providing the best support, and we'd love to discuss your experience further and see how we can help. For troubleshooting your refrigerator's ice and water dispenser, follow these steps:Ice Production and Dispensing Is the refrigerator making ice? If the dispenser gives water but not ice, check the ice maker. Ice Maker is Making Ice but Not Dumping: Reset the Ice Maker by unplugging the refrigerator for 1 minute. Wait a couple of hours and check for ice in the bin. Ice Maker is Not Making Ice: Refer to the "Not Making Ice" section in your Owner's Manual. Ice Blockages: Clumped Ice: If ice clumps (due to infrequent use or humidity), empty the bin and break up the ice with a plastic utensil, then discard the clumped ice. Clean the ice storage bin and delivery chute every 2 weeks. Do not use anything sharp. Clogged Chute: If particles build up and block the chute, clean the ice delivery chute and the bottom of the ice storage bin with a warm, damp cloth, and dry thoroughly. Incorrect Bin Installation: For external (in-door) ice systems, ensure the ice bin is fully snapped into place to prevent low or no ice production. (See Owner's Manual for instructions). Dispenser Controls Doors Closed: On some models, the doors must be closed to engage the dispenser. Control/Dispenser Lock: Check if the Control Lock or Dispenser Lock feature is activated. This deactivates the dispenser controls and pad, but does not affect power to the refrigerator, ice maker, or dispenser light. Paddle/Pad Engagement: Ensure the dispenser paddle or pad is fully engaged by firmly pressing a sturdy glass against it. How to Dispense Select water or ice on the display (depending on your model). Firmly press a sturdy glass against the dispenser paddle. Remove the glass to stop dispensing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At only two weeks old, the ice maker malfunctioned and the controls for the water and ice seem to have a mind of their own. The filter function did not work at only 4 weeks, no warning that the filter needed changing, which was supposed to last multiple months, the water just stopped coming out. This is an expensive filter to have to change every 4-6 weeks! Do not recommend this fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with the storage capacity and how the layout is organized — easy to fit everything and find what I need. My one gripe is the ice dispenser; it hasn't been intuitive to use. Otherwise a solid fridge for the space and organization it offers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Water didn’t work for the first week and half, ice machine jams and makes a mess, makes loud Noises at times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are so happy with our new Whirlpool Refrigerator. The dual ice makers are great; it runs very well and is very quiet. We really like the Easy Reach Zone drawer. It is especially nice in the summertime with all of the bigger bottles of liquid. All in all we couldn't be happier.
