Great Lightweight Trimmer, But the Head Angle Mech

Pros: Extremely lightweight, easy to maneuver, and great for basic yard edging and trimming.
Cons: Fragile head adjustment mechanism; poor durability for switching modes.
I’ve owned several Worx trimmers over the years because I really appreciate how light and easy to handle they are compared to heavier gas or battery models. However, the mechanism used to change the head angle (from trimming to edging) is a major design flaw.
Virtually every single unit I’ve owned has broken at that specific pivot point after just a few months of normal use. Because the head angle lock breaks, the trimmer becomes unusable, forcing me to buy a replacement over and over again.
If Worx reinforced the pivot joint with sturdier materials or a better locking mechanism, this would easily be a 5-star product. Until then, be aware that while it is comfortable to use, switching angles frequently will likely shorten its lifespan significantly.
I replaced my gas blower and trimmer with this set and I love almost everything about them. They are lightweight and easy to use, store easily, and because they are easy to use, I use them more often. I only wish the battery lasted a bit longer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the edger several years ago. Then I got the leaf blower, great. And a weed eater. I’m 73 and I take care of our yard. Light and very easy to use. I was in the direct path of the tornado that hit Laurel co. Kentucky. We lost everything. We are building back. I will need new WORX again. Will order as soon as we have our home built. Great products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is my second time i have ordered the works i used to get the string sent to me free of charges i have not recieved them in a long timewhats up. great product light weight but still very good and i can do all the yard work my self and it is a large with lots of trees and plants and i am 85
I've got a big beautiful gas blower that mounts like a backpack making it ergometric and less cumbersome once suited up. But I'm getting older and I'm the only one that gets the honor. I gave Worx a try since it's a smaller form factor and others in the household could chip in around the yard. Wow, what an awakening. The 20V is so light, powerful and manageable - does the same job for me in the same time without all the fanfare. Instead of hinting for a little help, I'm out blowing my deck, walk and driveway Every morning, keeping ahead of it all and looking 100% all the time. Lesson. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
Weed eater, wheel barrow., blower tools are light weight I have had my wheel barrow for at least 10 years still easy to handle and have put water in it for great gran to play in when little
