Just got this and the phone case and love both. I will use these for traveling, especially if there is water involved! Easy to "install" (however, I would have liked a Peak Design video to show me how to hook this up to the iPhone case).

I must admit that the report about removing the tiny anchors from the hooks is quite complicated. As long as there is no "gear" attached to the anchor you simply have not enough grip to remove it from the firm hooks. This definately needs to be adressed. As soon as my Camera gave enough grip it was easier - but I can understand that someone fears to brake something. We are simply not used to something like this from PeakDesign. Maybe this is the reason you only can find them on the website when searching...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Adam here from PD. We've found that there's a bit of a learning curve to attaching/detaching the Micro Anchors, but once customers get the technique down it becomes second nature for them. We put together a video to help folks get the hang of it: https://www.instagram.com/p/DYNQlsauAID/

Love it, but these new connectors...

I just received my black crossbody strap and love it.
But I had such a hard time detaching the tiny connectors to attach the strap to my Peak Design iPhone case. I almost gave up! Can you make it easier to detach the connectors?
Update: We just came back from a trip during which my wife used the new mobile strap while I attached a form strap to my iPhone case. I still like the mobile strap, but it is so hard to detach the small connectors. I was afraid I would break the strings because I have to use a metal rod to detach them. So, I will stick to using the form strap for my iPhone. As you can see from the photo, the form strap is a bit thicker but uses the same connectors as my other straps. So, I can easily switch between iPhone, camera, or binoculars without any difficulty.

Potentially flawed solution to a simple problem

This is an innovative approach to a phone strap and it is of the usual Peak Design quality, but it has a problem that may not be solvable. Removing the mini anchors from the strap to attach them a device (or the strap itself for single point carry) is extremely difficult. It was impossible for me to get a grip on the anchor attachment cord to pull it out of the connector. Obviously, the connection between the micro anchor and the strap must be robust, but given the difficulty of removing the anchor from the strap, it will be almost impossible to reconfigure the strap set up in the field (I used pliers to get enough leverage to remove the micro anchor from the strap. Since I am using the single point attachment for the strap, I have to use the Mobile Strap Adapter to attach the strap to my iPhone case. At this point, I doubt I will be able to disconnect the Adaptor from the strap if I want to use the phone without the strap. This means I will have to use the phone without a case or I must carry a spare case with me. Not an ideal solution. One other note; the Mobile Strap Adapter (for single point attachment) is just think enough to prevent my iPhone from fitting snuggly in the case (the case does not securely snap around the bottom of the phone). It remains to be seen if this will be a problem. All in all, Peak Design has come up with a clever carry solution for mobile phones, but the reality of employing this method is seriously flawed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
