Fail Warning

I bought this for use with my Nikon D780 DSLR camera, on which I use a NIKOR 17-35mm lens. I was happy with the functionality of the product and used it maybe 7 times over the course of time months. Recently, I was standing still with the camera on and felt it drop an inch suddenly and then fall to the floor. The drop caused the lens to crack and rendered the body non-functional. Upon further inspection, ring connecting the mount to the strap deteriorated and came apart (picture). This seems to be quite a cheap piece of plastic to secure a high-value investment. Long story short, I'm now out almost $4K in camera equipment because this product is sub-par.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not work with Canon cameras
on March 3, 2020
Posted by: Jack
The mechanism that is supposed to screw into the base of the camera DOES NOT FIT any of my Canon cameras. Will not work with Canon Rebel XT, 50D or 6D. Thread size is not correct for Canon cameras. Unfortunately, store where I bought it would not give me a refund!

Great for the price....

Well made for the price, not a Black Rapid, but not bad, my only gripe is the use of plastic in high stress areas such as the piece that connects the strap to tripod screw, would like to see aluminum here, but for lighter weight gear, it seems durable enough. Previous post saying it doesn't fit Canon????..wrong!! It uses a standard 1/4 20 thread and will fit any camera with a tripod socket.....

Defective Screw

I purchased this elsewhere and it took 3 of them before I recieved one that had a working screw. The first 2 the threading was defective and would not screw on to any camera. There must have been a bad batch or something.

just perfect!

I'm happy to find this one, a price friendly. just when I got home I immediately attached it to my D7000 with flash gun and it's just fit and locks perfectly as I observed. For me the hard plastic that others said should be metal is not a big deal because this plastic thing obviously can carry more than 40 kilogram. You can still use this with your 30kg. camera

Failed Cannon 24 70mm 2.8L lens dropped w/camera

Great design and I loved it until it failed on me and the camera and pro lens went falling down on the ground. Lucky it was soft forest floor and not concrete. Any part holding strength should have been metal. The clip that the strap attaches to needs to be made of high strength metal. It cannot break like the plastic one did on me.
