Magnet strength 5*Stand quality 5*Pop socket feature is as quick to pop up but that fact that it’s thin makes it manageable 4*Magnet is strong and holds the phone on metal surfaces but does not charge wirelessly in my car or MagSafe charger...Maybe it’s because of my case (Rebel) plus the grip stand is too thick. So I need to remove the grip stand if I want to charge wirelessly. 4*Build quality is 5*
Works greasy as a stand and I love that it also works as a magnet. I worry a little about the fidget spinner part not sure how well the plastic will hold up. Overall seems to me a solid product.
Yes it’s the lightest, and thinnest, but that’s about it. Here’s what is great. Magnets are strong, stand is good, it’s light, it’s thin. Here’s what’s bad. Only a select few MagSafe chargers are strong enough to charge your phone through this grip. It’s really hard to deploy the grip one handed. It feels flimsy and the stand rubs when you fold it out. The one finger position is honestly the most comfortable and best way to use this, but after ONE day, one the little arms bands outward not letting the snap grip to snap back into place. You physically have to bend the little arms bands outward back to get it to dock. I’m final nail in the coffin is that it’s expensive. So if you tons of cash and want the thinnest and lightest, go for it.
This is my 3rd OhSnap and I love them - the design of this one is amazing. The only problem is that the magnet is not NEARLY as strong as the one on the old design. Honestly, the old one was too strong and kept pulling the adhesive off of the car mount, but this one isn't strong enough. It takes several tries (and perfect placement) for it to stick, and then when it does a good hard bump knocks it back off.
If there is anything iffy in this device, it feel the disk that pops out to slide your fingers behind feels a little tighter than I'd prefer and I wonder about the long term with those thin hinges underneath. We'll see. But I"m very happy with the initial function and quality. Keep improving, (there must be something :-)
