Great concept but very limited in the angles your can view at. It may be because it is designed with only an iPhone in mind though, not sure. They need to add like a way to swivel the stand or something like that because it makes my phone stand at pretty much a 90 degree angle in landscape. So it always falls down if the table is bumped. Pretty much unusable on a plane or car. The magnets are too strong to easily rotate the grip too. The snap grip is the better buy and more useful.
I was frustrated with no secure stand or angling mode so I upgraded to this version and there are pros and cons. Pros - the stand works great. Secure and steady for all positions. Cons- it’s definitely heavier than the the regular Oh Snap- I’m definitely experiencing challenges with the MagSafe on this version. Perhaps the stand component is causing this but it’s not sticking well to my car MagSafe holder and can fall off while driving and it also takes a while to get it in the right spot to charge on my Belkin night charger. If I open the stand part it connects better so will probably stick with it but be aware.
It's incredibly well made and very versatile. The magnet is strong like it should be. The finger grip is very versatile as well, allowing for a secondary stand, 360 ° rotation, and different possible grips. Definitely recommend. Now we will see how it stands against time.
Having had almost every version since the grip 1 this one feels the most premium and the most useful! The vertical stand is become more useful than any other grip I've used! The thicc ness is definitely a bragging point
Newer, competing designs allow for magnetic attachment sideways for photos & video. It doesn’t charge very well on a wireless charger. It was state of the art a few years ago...but hasn’t kept up.It is well made.
I used the original Snap Grip and loved it. But now that I've upgraded to the Snap Grip Stand I realized THIS is what I really wanted! The ability to use it in either portrait or landscape mode was definitely missing. And being able to attach it to a Stand or Car Mount while it's still attached to my phone? Applause all around. I feel like buying a second phone just so I can attach another one. Some day.
